“What a great place to chill”
Reviewed 9 March 2017

We have stayed here on previous occasions and absolutely love it here ! We stayed in a starboard side cabin. Consisting of two bedrooms which were located on opposite floors with main living areas on the floor in between. A three level townhouse with , everything you could need to have a relaxing, chill stay. We shared the cabin with friends and had an absolute wonderful stay. Weather was really nice on the arrival day friday, sunny but windy on saturday and over-cast and grey while packing up. Could'nt have asked for nicer weather...

Room Tip: there were cabins that were directly on the waterfront but ours was but a 2 min walk to the ocean an...

I've stayed at many resorts in Ucluelet and Tofino, including the one next door, and sometimes for as long as 3 months straight for work. The Cabins are the best value for your money...beautiful and comfy, all amenities that you need, you can heat the foghorn and the waves crashing at night. Gas fireplaces in the lodge suites are wonderful. New Westcoast decor, a steam shower in the large 3 bedroom suite at the bottom of the lodge is divine! Great customer service always...any questions or concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
I love the Cabins...after stays in many other cabins here and at other resorts (*all with minimal service once you check in as they want to leave you alone and let you enjoy your stay without harrassment - pretty standard at all the resorts here) I will always stay at The Cabins before anywhere else.

Probably one of the worst hotel stays I have had. I stayed at The Terrace beach resort and The Cabins at terrace Beach (very similar names and they are beside each other) within the same year and I would 100% recommend The Terrace Beach resort! The staff are actually friendly and the view is much nicer!
I was at The Cabins for a wedding in November 2016. While the location and the beach access was decent, that was about the only thing that was. During our stay in the lodge of 4 night and 5 days we were not given clean towels or clean dishware (including dish soap to clean the dirty ones!) while I am not sure if this is part of the deal when you stay in the lodge, it is somewhat impossible to actually get a hold of any staff at the resort. The staff was not friendly and impossible to get a hold of and you would think they would make at least one person available if a wedding was taking place. Also, I know the wedding planner for the package was included but she was somewhat useless. She was not friendly in any way and all she did was carry a few items up and down the stairs. I just feel like you could get a lot more for your money and have a much better experience in Ucluelet then staying at this resort

We spent a fabulous weekend in January with my parents. Had two rooms in the lodge and they were great. Clean modern spacious rooms. King size bed. Fabulous bathrooms with large rain shower and/or two person soaker tub complete with candle to set the mood. Views to the sea from the large balcony. Fireplace, kettle coffee maker and fridge. Even a paper towel roll to wipe up etc. Decent size cups and proper wine glasses as well as tall glasses. Easy walk down to the beach and from there you can reach the lighthouse walk. Thoroughly recommend.

We booked a two-night anniversary getaway to "The Nest" this past weekend and due to an honest mistake and our late check-in, were directed to the wrong cabin for the first night. Our cabin ("Shelter") was quite spacious, but not quite as nice as The Nest -- and didn't have a fireplace, which we'd both been really looking forward to. (The Nest has a beautiful stone fireplace, and we really wanted to curl up by the fire and listen to the ocean...)

In any case, the next day we brought this to the attention of the staff, and they let us move to The Nest, which was absolutely amazing. Even our dog loved the view (the resort is super dog-friendly, which is awesome).

We'll definitely come back. It's a wonderful place. This would have been a five-star rating, but we really missed that fireplace the first night!

Room Tip: Spring for The Nest if you can! It's a magical spot.

Beautiful location and very cute cabins. Love the ability to bring the dog. The view is stunning and hospitality was good. The inside cabins are kept up but the outside needs a bit of work. I love the available options of places to stay at this resort.

We visited Ucluelet on a very frosty week in December and stayed in a Lodge Room at the Cabins on Terrace Beach. The room was lovely with a very West Coast vibe, a king bed, gas fireplace, soaker tub, partial view of the beach and a balcony with table and chairs. It is a very different experience visiting Ukee in the winter but we lucked out having 3 glorious days of sunshine. This property is located adjacent to the Lighthouse Loop section of the Wild West Trail which we (bundled up) walked twice, still seeing humpback wales, eagles and sea lions. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony as the sun set and then another in front of the fire before heading out for dinner. The pace is slower, the crowds are absent and some of the restaurants are closed or on winter hours but a visit to Ukee is always a treat and "the Cabins" totally completed our get-away.
