Our first trip to Terrace Beach won't be our last! My partner and I enjoyed the Eagles' Nest Suite with our yellow Labrador for a week in February. Everything was wonderful, from the large outdoor jacuzzi (under an active eagles nest!), to the cozy loft, to the well equipped kitchen, and even the assortment of books left by previous guests. It was especially fun to read guest comments from years past. The Priestly's were great hosts, and apologized for some renovation work being done to the deck and ramp with a lovely bottle of wine and discount on our stay. The weather was perfect: 2 days of storm-watching, 2 sunny blue sky days; and 2 rainy days to spend checking out local businesses. This is the real deal, and the place to stay in Ukee with your canine companions - they really are treated like one of the family.

Our Web search suggested this resort had everything we desired for two couples traveling together: ocean view, hot tub, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and kitchen. Cabin 10 The Captain's Quarters isn't quite what we had in mind.
It met our expectations regarding two bedrooms and bathrooms (note one bedroom is in the loft and it's bathroom has tub only-no shower, the second bedroom is on the lower floor and uses the full bathroom on the main floor.)
It disappoints, however, regarding the view and the hot tub. At best, the view might qualify as peek-a-boo since it is virtually blocked by cabin 9. The hot tub is uncovered so not much fun in the downpours of the rain forest. For this reason we felt like we didn't get good value for our money.
While rustic, the kitchen is well equipped with plenty of dishes, slow cooker, blender, toaster, cutting board, etc.
The unit was clean and plenty of towels were supplied. Lighting throughout, though, is inadequate, making the place feel dim and dingy.
The staff are friendly and other cabins in this resort might not have the limitations of cabin 10.

I really enjoyed this hotel, and they were very dog friendly (provided dog blankets and towels, poo bags, and had dog washing stations). The only reason I didn't rate them as 5 stars is the horrible parking lot. By the evening people are crammed in there every which way, blocking others in, because it's not properly marked and too small.

We stayed three nights here this past weekend, in Morning Mist #2 for a kid free couples getaway. The cabin was basic, but we expected that and it fit our needs. Kitchen was small but equipped well enough to cook basic meals (no oven but website does clearly say this). It was charmingly rustic, warm, cozy and clean. The views from the deck and living room were amazing! Sitting in the hot tub on the deck listening to the wind, waves and rain was soothing and peaceful. We did have an issue with the hot tub, but reported it to management and it was successfully resolved. Great customer service and friendly helpful staff. Definitely recommend Terrace Beach Resort and we hope to return!

This is one of our favourite places to come. My wife and I used to come here as a couple (7 years ago) with our dog and this was our first trip with our kids. The beachfront cabins are so cozy and we love falling asleep with the window open so we can hear the waves. There are few things more relaxing than a bath in the soaker tub overlooking the ocean. Step right out your door and walk to the lighthouse and watch the waves crash. Staff are also super friendly and the whole place is suited for people with pets. Hoping this trip becomes a family tradition.
