we originally were booked into the Florencia Bay Cabin, but were upgraded to the Willowbrae cabin, My husband and I were just on a little Valentines weekend getaway. The accomodations were stunning, very private and luxurious. Terri ann and Brent, you sure got it right, with the decor, just our style, right down to the guest sign in book. we loved every second of our stay. We sure are spoiled here on the island. we have our eye on the copper cabin for next time
sincerely

We were guests for new years eve 2012 and had an amazing time. The cabin was comfortable, clean and magnificently presented. It has everything a couple needs for a romantic weekend away. We were trusted to leave the cabin in the state we found it and we were happy to do so. The owners were availbe to address our questions when we had them and other than that, they were no where to be seen. It was private and perfect for a very memorable new years eve.

We stayed in Copper Cabin in October, and we absolutely loved it! The cabin was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our week's stay. We wanted somewhere peaceful and private for our honeymoon, and Florencia Bay Hideaway was perfect. We especially enjoyed watching the sun come up from the hot tub!
The cabin is just a short drive from Ucluelet and its shops, and the walking trails in the Pacific Rim National Park, so it makes a great base to explore the area.
Thank you for making such a wonderful place for us to visit! We'd love to come back some time soon.

We absolutely loved the florencia bay hideaway cabin! My parents, my husband and myself and 2 children stayed for a week in august and just had a wonderful time. Charming, peaceful, super clean and very organized, we would recommend the fishing charters in Uclulet that Teri Ann and Brent recommended. The kids (and ourselves) had a blast scouring the beaches for shells, anemones and crabs :) What fun and so close to the cabin!
We will definitly be back, thank you Teri Ann and Brent for making us feel completely at home.

Hello,

While all of our accommodations can be considered Florencia Bay cabins in general, we just wanted to clarify that these guests stayed at our Halfmoon Cottage.

Thanks,

A beautifully designed and built, real log cabin set in an idyllic loaction.
We spent a few nights in the copper cabin during our holiday to cananda in september.
It is an amazing cabin, with everything you need and the added bonus of a outdoor hot tub, which is perfect for star gazing.
From the cabin, its short drive to the small town of Ucluelet, which has some fantastic walks.
The copper cabin is in the perfect place to explore this part of BC and ideal for a romantic get away.

An unforgettable destination- the cabin design in copper and log is stunning- perfect setting for two adults to recharge and enjoy each other. The bed is so very comfortable it is hard to get up- but when you do, make your way to the copper tub which is built for two and experience the ultimate rainy day romantic morning. Then pull on the cozy robes that are supplied to spend some delightful time in the kitchen together making breakfast- wonderful gas stove for whipping up brunch for two- take your coffee on the deck and enjoy the quiet and breathe in the fresh, pure west coast rainforest air. Town is minutes away if you need to venture out, perhaps to pick up a bottle of wine and something to BBQ- and hike through the trails to a gorgeous protected bay- soon you will be cozied up again in front of the fire in that king size bed ready for another night of peaceful sleep-

We had three decadent nights at Copper Cabin- and loved every minute. Only a couple of suggestions to the owners-
*need few more place-settings of dishes- we were having to wash as we went along. New cutting knives or have a knife sharpener available.
*Was surprised that I could not find a flashlight anywhere-
*the hot tub should be replaced ( or at least the cover-smell of chemical overwhelming) and there should be a walkway to the tub, somewhere to put robes to stay dry if raining.
* for the level of accomodation (ie price) the BBQ should be upgraded- larger size that heats up more quickly (such as a Weber)
* trim branches away from the sign at the road
All of the above I have seen mentioned in by other reviewers, so hope that the suggestions help keep your guests returning year after year- I know we will!

Hello,

Thought we’d just pop in to say “thanks” to everyone for the great reviews and suggestions and to let you know what changes we’ve made...

Extra lighting has been added to the outside of the Copper Cabin so flashlights are not needed (we supplied flashlights in the past and they always went missing, so we stopped supplying them).

There is now a bench with a lid beside the hot tub at the Copper Cabin so that bath robes and other items can be kept dry while using the tub.

A good selection of sharp cutting knives are supplied at each cottage. This was always the case. There was a drawer full of cutting knives at the Copper Cabin during this guest’s stay, but we think they may have been overlooked as the drawer is located in a different area of the kitchen. The knives have been relocated to the utensil drawer so they are now easy to find.

There are now at least 2 extra place settings in relation to the number of guests staying at each cottage.

Branches have been trimmed around the entrance sign.

The hot tub at the Copper Cabin is fairly new as far as the life of hot tubs go. However, the hot tub covers do need to be replaced often and we are replacing them as often as needed. Standard hot tub covers are insulated with foam, so, unfortunately, they do absorb water and chemicals. We are currently looking at an alternative to foam covers and have ordered one for “testing”. If it works out, we will order them for all the hot tubs and this should eliminate the chemical odour that comes from the covers.

The bbq at the Copper Cabin is the only suggestion we did not go ahead with after much consideration, number one being that it is a very high quality stainless steel bbq. We’ve enjoyed many gourmet meals ourselves on this bbq and find it to be plenty big enough for two people, which is the maximum number of guests allowed at the Copper Cabin. Neither can we find any problem with the time it takes to heat up or reaching a hot enough temperature. We have a larger ‘Weber’ at one of the bigger cabins and have had to replace it a few times already (will be considering a different model next time around). The bbq at the Copper Cabin has never needed replacing so that in itself is a good reflection of its quality, not to mention the high price tag it came with. The Copper Cabin is all about quality, which is what sets it apart from other accommodations. We prefer to keep a high quality consistent throughout and that is the reason for our decision on this one.

Thanks again.

We look forward to seeing you again at the Hideaway!

Sincerely,

Teri-Ann & Brent

You'll miss the sign for it if you're in a hurry. We were looking for a quiet, out-of-the-way spot to recharge our batteries. The Willowbrae fit the bill nicely. The cottage is one of four on the site, each located on it's own corner of the property. Our cottage was a unique 1 1/2 storey log structure. Even on the last day I was still marveling at the craftsmanship.
We spent 4 wonderful nights here and saw only one other person from a distance. The private rear deck has a hot tub looking out over the forest. The upper bathroom has a beautiful claw-foot tub and a picture window providing a view out from above the deck.
The cottage was very clean and well stocked with towels, a must for us hot tub lovers. The sheets on our bed were 300 count Egyptian cotton - were they ever nice! We went out and bought a set when we returned home.
The only minor issues were spotty wireless coverage and the cd player would skip occasionally. Small details compared to the beautiful setting in a log cottage in the woods.
This was our romantic getaway and we were very pleased with our choice. There are two bedrooms up so it could accommodate more than a couple but I dare say the kids will not be joining us on our return visit.
