Glen and Susan are excellent B&B operators/hosts and made the entire weekend a great experience for our 28th anniversary mini-getaway.

Highlights were; the clean and artfully decorated accommodations, the meticulously maintained grounds, the lake views, the breakfasts!, the special touch they put into everything they do (i.e. leaving a note for us upon our late return from dinner to instruct that they had prepared the fire pit down by the lake with logs, a lighter, a water can (to extinguish), blankets, a flashlight, bug spray and plastic wine glasses (just in case)).

We would definitely recommend this B&B.

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying with Susan and Glen (and Oscar) last weekend. Everything exceeded our expectations! The grounds were beautiful with veggie and perennial gardens and a quaint path down to the lake and dock - a very relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in the Carpenter's room - which was the perfect size with gorgeous views of the lake and a beautiful bathroom! Their whole home is unique, modern and filled with treasures and art and interesting books and magazines to indulge in. Breakfast matched the rest of the experience - Amazing! I will definitely be back with my boyfriend in the spring as it's a very romantic setting also... Thank you, Susan and Glen - enjoy your season off!

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful...you can't go wrong

We enjoyed 2 nights in the Artist's Room. Susan and Glen are lovely hosts. The house is well layed out - the guest rooms are on the opposite end of the owners section of the home. They have a beautiful, garden and a relaxation area down by the water...if you spend more time than a few nights to enjoy it.. Otherwise, there is so much to do in PEC that after breakfast you will likely be enjoying your time visting wineries, breweries, shops, Sandbanks. National Park. Good restaurants for fine dining within a 20 minute radius. Two days went by too quickly. A hearty breakfast was wonderfully prepared by Glen. A choice of savory or sweet. It is only served at one set time, 9am, at a communal table for 6 guests but homemade muffins and coffee are available at 8:30.
Susan will give the group suggestions for touring around PEC right after breakfast. The walls are beautifully decorated with Susan's artwork and rooms are very nicel'y decorated. The Artist's room was very spacious - couch and chair - but unfortunately only has a queen bed. Large bathroom and shower space. It shares a wall with the smaller Carpenters room so we tried to be as quiet as possible when entering our room as we are early risers. Keeping the door hinges oiled, including the bathroom door are important :)
The Gardeners Room is the most private as it is on its own at the end of the house with king bed. That would be my preference for a return visit but the priciest. I am not sure what kind of air conditioning system is used, if any, however the room did have a ceiling fan around the bed area and overall we were comfortable despite the warm weather and one rainy evening. The garden, chickens, and basset hound are fun to watch and photograph. I will definitely recommend Away to my friends who plan to visit PEC and hope to make a return visit next year! Have a great winter Susan and Glen.

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said by others. The setting of this B&B is idyllic with wonderful garden and water views from the B&B and a path leading through the garden to the water. We stayed in the Carpenter's room which was beautiful and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious and included items from the B&B's garden. The hosts, Susan and Glen (&Oscar), were very accommodating and full of ideas for things to do and great recommendations. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend!
