We had such an amazing time at Orca Camp! There was quite the show of Orcas, Dolphins, Porpoises, Sealions, Eagles and Bear. We not only saw Orcas from the camp but also while paddling. Quite breathtaking to see an orca tail slapping just feet away from my boat. Our guides Caitlin, Clay and Josh were awesome and worked hard to make the experience a special one. Meals were fantastic, sleeping quarters were warm and cozy and the sauna delightful. We had such fun with the other guests as well, a really great bunch they were. The location, the wildlife and the people made this one of my most memorable holidays!

There is only one word I could think of to describe my experience with Wildcoast Adventures and that is LEGENDARY! I would never hesitate to book another tour and recommend it to anyone who is unsure. From the moment we left Gowlland Harbour on the water taxi the fun had already began. We were greeted at camp not only by our three excellent guides Clay, Nolan and Caitlin but a pod of over 100 Pacific White Side Dolphins roaring past camp in the kelp line, the action didn't stop there! we had over 10 different sightings of Orca, breaching, spy hopping, tail slapping, the works and even better right in front of the Wildcoast beach. We didn't need to set an alarm in the morning as our wake up call was from Clay yelling ORCA as pods swam past camp every morning. On our first adventure across Johnstone Strait we seen 8 black bears many with there cubs. Just when you think the experience couldn't get any better you sit down for dinner and are served a 3 course meal in the middle of no where, who could expect any better? the quality was fantastic! Our three guides always made you feel welcome and safe and have extensive knowledge of all the wildlife and history about the area. Everything about the tour exceeded my expectations and i can't wait to book another tour in the future.

We had picked Orca Camp for the main event of our honeymoon trip to BC. Wildcoast was outstanding in service and hospitality. The guides were fantastic and we were fortunate to see so much wildlife while on our stay in the Johnstone Strait. Surprises included the sauna, the food(!!!), the bioluminescent night paddle and about a dozen pods of orcas cruising right by camp. We can't wait to return!

Where do I begin? From the moment I chose Wildcoast Adventures for our Orca Camp adventure to returning to Gowland Harbour Resort on August 7th, this experience was beyond expectations!
Valerie was wonderful to deal with, answering all of our questions. Damon's professionalism was second to none. Our guides, Clay, Bender and Nova continued with the top notch service! It was comforting to have such guidance and knowledge as we paddled on Johnstone Strait.
Our tents were roomy and our sleeping bags were warm! Our meals were first rate! Clay, Bender and Nova worked together at providing us with delicious food throughout our stay! My favorite dinner was the pork on a skewer with mashed sweet potatoes! Eggs benedict on our final day, and sandwiches on the beach at Naka Creek were also memorable!
We were part of an international group of 12. Time on the beach with everyone, observing Johnstone Strait while the salmon jumped, was a special part of Orca Camp.
The highlight, which we came for, was the whales....and whales we did see!! Within a half hour of our arrival at Orca camp, we had a pod swim by!! It was overwhelming to see them. We also saw the Orcas from our kayaks on day 2, a humpback from our kayaks on day 3, followed by more Orcas that same afternoon! I could not get enough of seeing them! That is why I need to come back!!
Orca camp is a very special place to visit. It will remain an incredible memory for a very long time.

Orca camp was the highlight of our honeymoon! Everything about it exceeded our expectations.

The wildlife: Before we even left for camp, we saw TONS of wildlife on the Friday zodiac tour: orcas, dolphins, seals, sea lions, bald eagles, jumping salmon, and even grizzly bears! At orca camp we saw 3 - 4 pods of orcas pass by our beach every day. The orcas were so majestic, and I will never forget the calming sound of the orca blows as they slowly passed by the beach.

The kayaking: We were beginners and our guides made us feel very comfortable out on the calm waters of the Johnstone Strait. In addition to the daytime paddles, we went out for (optional) paddles during the most beautiful sunset as well as a midnight paddle in the bioluminescence. Our experience paddling in the bioluminescence was MAGICAL and definitely a highlight of our trip!

The food: We were really blown away by the meals the guides cooked for us - they were all exceptional! One night our guide Josh caught a salmon, and the next morning added it to our eggs benedict. It was delicious! I was also a big fan of hot coffee (french-pressed), hot tea, and hot chocolate available all day. Dessert was never missed, and there were lots of snacks available in between meals. You will not go hungry on this trip!

The accommodations: I may not ever go back to regular camping! The raised platform tents were spacious and we were surprised how little bugs there were at camp. There is private toilet and multiple sinks available for use. The best thing by far is the hot shower! (And also the hot sauna we enjoyed on the last day of camp. I would go into more detail but you'll really have to see for yourself at camp!)

We were so lucky to see the amount of whales that we saw on our trip, but even aside from the whales this trip exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you to our guides Julie and Josh for all of your hard work! Thank you Damon and Val for sharing this hidden gem with us and so many others, and creating an experience that left us with a lifetime of memories!
