If there is one hike to do, this is the one. The beauty of this scenic hike is unmatched. The variety in this hike is awesome, from a boat ride across the Waterton Lakes to a crawl thru a short tunnel. Spectacular!

This trail had long been on my bucket list and finally did it this summer. Absolutely spectacular and glad I did it before the fires.

I call this my one and done hike. It was so invigorating, fun, hard and scary! This was our third 10+ mile hike in the same amount of days, so we weren't sure how exhausted we would be, but we even beat some of the kids half our age! We arrived early at the marina because we were afraid of not getting a ticket. Absolutely no problem, but the boat did fill up. There was some rough terrain, some heavy duty switchbacks and rocky areas. Of course there is the infamous ladder, tunnel and narrow paths. Bring lots of water and a walking stick(s)! The trail seemed to end when we came upon a wooded area and could hear the waterfall. Thankfully, someone behind us had been there before and directed us up a rocky climb to the left and the trail continued. Some signage would be nice, as we directed several confused hikers on our way down.

A must do if you are in Waterton. It might be somewhat challenging for some but it is worth it. Get out and play!

This was a crazy hike along cliff edges, up the ladder, through the tunnel and then the part where you hang on to the cable! My husband and I are in relatively good shape even though we are 60 and we made it! Had a little trouble with the altitude since we live at sea level but after 4 hours we reached the lake and it was beautiful! Had a great picnic and started down, just made it for the 4 o'clock boat (if you miss that one you can take the later boat). We went in the end of Aug and it wasn't that crowded, however I can see how some parts would take a while as people need to climb over rocks, through the tunnel and hang onto the cable. All went well for us though since generally everyone we met was pleasant and accommodating to us slower folks. The view of the waterfalls, mountains and valley were beautiful as we were trekking along. Definitely recommend if you are not afraid of heights.
