Our friend from Scotland was visiting us and wanted to take us out for lunch at a "good" restaurant in Powell River. There are several to choose from so it was a nice challenge.
We decided on the Tree Frog Bistro and it lived up to our expectations. We were seated outside with shade from the hot sun and a great view of the water and the mountains on Vancouver Island. Staff were very friendly and looked after our needs without being obtrusive. I had the steelhead (a type of sea going trout) with capers and it was perfect. My husband and our friend had the Oyster Poorboy. He had his with fries and she had hers with a salad. Both of them were happy with their choices. Best fries ever said my husband. Desert and tea topped off a memorable meal. We even met the new owner who stopped by to chat.
