Stayed here as a stopover. It was a slow time of the year. Staff were friendly and helpful. Suite was clean and very nice for our standards. The beds and linen were very comfortable and we should get their make to buy our own. The suite was complete with a fridge, stove, microwave, plates and cutlery. There was a TV in the living room area and bedroom. The curtains in rooms facing the water/marina are sheer...so, if you are not an exhibitionist....take care. The rooms were quiet, the pool area and hot tub were also quiet, clean and appreciated. The gym was great with enough equipment to satisfy the athletic traveler. We did not take in the restaurant or other facilities. The location is on the side of a hill and close to the road. Though the marina was nice to look at and the store frontage was nice to walk-by,it was pretty close to the road. There was a beach at the Suites but it was narrow and short. It bordered on Treaty Land and was posted NO TRESPASSING. There is in sufficient room to adequately walk a dog and in fact we had to sign the registration to ensure there were no dogs in the room. I believe they allow dogs because we did see another customer come out of a room with a dog in tow. Would I highly recommend it? Not really... it was expensive for us and not up our alley....and not SuperDuper

Room Tip: Most rooms if not all seem to face the water. Parking is covered.

My first impression was the poor customer service. We arrived to attend a wedding which was to be at 5:00pm and check in was not until 4:00pm. We asked if it was possible to check in early as we had a wedding to get ready for. The front desk clerk named Jennifer re-iterated that check in was not until 4:00pm, and that I could get ready in the pool shower room.... really? She went on to say that our room was actually ready but had not been inspected. She said she would call us when it had been inspected.
We left for 2 hours and then returned with the Groom (we had 3 rooms there). When my husband asked if it was possible for us to check in early, she replied that the room had still had not been inspected.... to which my husband asked if we could just have the room anyways since it was ready. Jennifer was extremely rude, arrogant and not accommodating at all considering we explained we were trying to get to a wedding on time. I understand rules, but it was the tone of her voice and the manner in which she treated us. She could have just said, we will see what we can do and try our very best. Which is what most hotels would do.
Best service was in the restaurant area, friendly staff, and beautiful view.
Facility: great
Service: terrible

Booked on a 2 night golf bc holiday... had not heard of this property so had no idea what we were going to experience. Awesome accommodation. The Lobby is on the 4th floor and our room 102 was on the beachfront (even though there's not really a beach). Nice surprise to have a separate living room/kitchen and King Bedroom. Excellent sleep! Don't think the desk clerk ever sleeps.... she seemed to be there 24/7. Didn't give an excellent rating as the furniture is a bit dated and the wall-mounted tv in the living room was installed about a foot too high. Also, as most hotels, the wide angle tv's are made for High Def broadcast. They use a larger size display that does not allow all channels to be seen on the tv menu. (small thing). Internet connection was good.

Room Tip: Loved the 1st floor walkout to the garden/grass/waterfront area.

Hotel is ideally located for visiting Cowichan Bay. Unfortunately, the room was well shopworn and the housekeeping was below par. The toilet was filthy and there was something (hand cream? shampoo?) splattered on the wall. Furnishings were worn, chipped and stained. The curtains were worn and frayed. While the kitchen was supposed to be 'fully equipped' there was missing cutlery and glassware. Housekeeping did not drop by until 5 o'clock - somewhat inconvenient after we had been out and about all day.
The front of house staff was warm, friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Bring your own drinking water. The town water is horrible. Even coffee can't disguise the taste.

Such a lovely place to stay! Views are fabulous, staff are amazing, and beds are comfy. We are looking forward to eating at the attached restaurant and exploring the town. Janice and Jennifer were *super* helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back again!
