we stayed here on our way to our holiday. The room was large with 2 double beds & the bathroom had a shower over a full size bath.
Breakfast was included in price but as we were leaving at 4.30 am we said we wouldn't be here at breakfast. To our surprise they said we could book in for a continental breakfast at any time as there was someone there all night. We had toast cooked for us as well as being able to help ourselves to cereals ,fruit , yogurts ,fruit juice & hot drinks.
They also have a long stay carpark & can arrange transfers to the airport which we didn't realise which was cheaper than the airport parking

Room Tip: top floor rooms are best.

Basing it on my normal criteria of measure of the shower and the breakfast. The shower was very poor with little pressure so only a 2 out of 5. The breakfast was a buffet but the eggs cooked to order a 4 out of 5. The staff were freindly and helpful. The room was a good size with the normal facilities. There was no view from the room but outside there was a view. From the outside it is looking a bit tired.

Visited third week in June 2017 in that really hot spell. Had a room on the bottom so was sheltered from the sun until late afternoon. This kept the room fairly cool as no air-conditioning. Luckily we had taken a fan. The room was clean and spacious with tea and coffee provided, although the cups were never changed during the time we stayed; we washed them up.

Breakfast was a buffet and the family which cooked the food were friendly and helpful. We can't praise them highly enough as they made the visit to the hotel enjoyable.

We felt that a lounge area would have been beneficial for visitors to relax in, but as it's mainly for people as a stop-over for the airport and we were staying for five nights, it's probably not on a high priority list. Overall satisfactory but not really holiday accommodation.

Room Tip: Back, bottom rooms which look over scrub land are cooler and we didn't hear noise from the A38 t...

Good position on the A38 not far from Bristol Airport and Bristol City. The overall appearance of the lodge was old fashioned, including the reception, room and breakfast room. The room was clean and very basic. The breakfast was nice with buffet cooked and continental food available. Over priced for what was offered.

Stayed there for an overnight. It's a bit dated but clean and warm. In fact too warm for me. But that's personal preference.
Breakfast was good.
Staff were friendly.
And it was the right price.
I would definitely overnight there again. We didn't use the restaurant

I stayed here for a few nights and found it good value for money. The beds were great and food above average but I thought it was a good deal all in all.
Bad points, small tv and some strange noises in pipes or something but couldn't hear traffic which was great! Staff were very good and helpful and I would happily stay there again.

Overnight stay and park car while away.
Lovely evening meal and a good nights sleep in clean room with comfortable bed. Very good breakfast choice as much as you can eat. Everything you need. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will be back again for sure.
