Visited today for the first time. Went on a fab guided tour led by Alan who was extremely knowledgeable and very happy to share his obvious passion for Arnos Vale with the group. Thought we could have seen it all in one visit but will definitely need to return and possibly try the “Wonderful Women” tour, or even the “Horrible Deaths” one. Tempted by the fascinating range of films, talks and live shows held there too. Warmed up with a delicious bowl of soup in the cafe after. Would recommend strongly.

The cemetery grounds cover a very large area and the helpful Discovery Trail leaflet gives a good insight to its history and areas to investigate. Left me wanting to come back with my chainsaw!

It was a beautiful day and we thought we would visit Arnosvale. Good flat walking shoes and suitable clothing we ventured out. It is open 9-5 so you can have a wander before he cafe opens at 10-4. Easy to find BS4 3EW. Rich architecture as you walk through stunning nature walks. After your walk go to the cafe for a relaxing hot drink and then to the gift shop to spend your money. We went on a week day but I understand that there are trail guides on Saturdays only but you can book a private tour if there are enough of you on any day - book in advance. This place is great for everyone of all ages although some areas difficult for people with mobility problems/ prams.

Every time we visit, we wonder why we don't come more often. The grounds are beautiful to stroll around, and the cafe is fantastic. "The Arnos" from the current brunch menu was a particular highlight!

The cafe also has a small childrens corner with some toys and books - much better than nothing!

Coffee was good for this type of place.
