I visited this establishment with a friend based on the TripAdvisor description that it was a "wine bar". Wine bar is definitely a long way from the description of what this place is: there are about ten wines on the menu (a combination of red, white, and rose), and none are particularly exquisite. I chose a shiraz eventually, which was average and slightly overpriced.

The staff, to their credit, were talkative and friendly. It was difficult, on first impressions, judging the nature of the place; it seems to be half a restaurant but one is welcome to just sit at the bar and drink. All in all, I have no bad memories of the bar, but it was nothing special really either. A fairly unremarkable touch to an interesting couple of days, and not the best place in Bristol without being bad in itself.

However my cocktails were brill! Although it was awfully quiet to the point of desertion! We had visited on a previous visit to Bristol and found it lively and fun. On this occasion we just dropped in after shopping and were the first people in - we put this down to it being 29 Dec and perhaps peeps were not out and about at 5.15pm. Our server Hosmar was really friendly and nice. My husband had a pils and I ordered a cocktail which was very complicated. Hosmar invited us to "toss for a 2nd cocktail". I won and got one free. The cocktail was lovely, but methinks not very alcoholic.

By the time we left at 7pm there were only another 2 peeps in. Real shame cos the atmosphere was almost nil.

Food is not real Spanish tapas and when getting our lamb dish containing pork no real help was offered to change the dish and ended up paying for a dish we didn't even touch. Service was rubbish and didn't even come to check if food was okay

Ate before a trip to the Colston Hall; we've passed this place loads of times and only ventured in once before for a drink.

My son went for tapas, tasted great (as I tried a bit of everything) and great value, generous portions. Husband and I had the seabass - only complaint here was that it was slightly overcooked

Good service too, friendly staff and prompt service, without feeling rushed

As vegetarians to find veggi paella should be a dream .however we ordered and waited in a very rowdy wine bar , at times it was so noisy and unpleasant ,I wanted to leave the staff did nothing about a very rowdy stag party ,and just as I was about to leave ,our food arrived, looking very nice and typically Spanish ,but that's where the comparison ends . It was burnt ,smelled burnt and very badly tasted burnt .it had caught on the bottom ,was over cooked ,too dry .it should never have been served and we waited 1 hour 20 mins for this rubbish ,we complain and a very reluctant manager turned up we saw him taste it as we insisted ,and said it was very difficult too do ,he made lots of apologies and gave us two complimentary drinks ,this place needs leadership and catering training ,it may be trendy ,but poor run .
