Having never been to Bristol, we visited for the university open day with our son.
We had a wonder around and having checked Google (the great font of all knowledge) we ended up at the 3 Brothers on the overwhelming reviews.
It was set on a boat on the river (as we walked along afterwards there are several other boats doing the same).
Inside, the main bar area dominated the centre of the boat and on either side were the seating areas.
What I noticed were several long tables and benches that could sit 16 people (ish), and parties would be seated here to fill the tables up.
Despite our first impressions, this is definately never judge a book by its cover!
Burgers are the main option and were all freshly made. They were served on a metal tray and in tin bowls were the chips and coleslaw.
Despite that unusual service, the burgers were fantastic and enjoyavle. You could tell the beef burgers were home made and the chicken burger was a chicken breast.
Prices were very good and having eaten there the 1,000+ reviews (4.5/5) were spot on.
Only advice is not to get dressed up. You don't need to in this establishment
