Having never been to Bristol, we visited for the university open day with our son.

We had a wonder around and having checked Google (the great font of all knowledge) we ended up at the 3 Brothers on the overwhelming reviews.

It was set on a boat on the river (as we walked along afterwards there are several other boats doing the same).

Inside, the main bar area dominated the centre of the boat and on either side were the seating areas.

What I noticed were several long tables and benches that could sit 16 people (ish), and parties would be seated here to fill the tables up.

Despite our first impressions, this is definately never judge a book by its cover!

Burgers are the main option and were all freshly made. They were served on a metal tray and in tin bowls were the chips and coleslaw.

Despite that unusual service, the burgers were fantastic and enjoyavle. You could tell the beef burgers were home made and the chicken burger was a chicken breast.

Prices were very good and having eaten there the 1,000+ reviews (4.5/5) were spot on.

Only advice is not to get dressed up. You don't need to in this establishment

We went here to join sons friends who recommended it... we are currently doing a burger tour of Bristol (one joint at a time) and pretty much anywhere else in the country/world and this one didn’t disappoint. The blue cheese is fantastic (Alex from Blur’s), £5 lunch deal is a bargain if you’re on a budget and the quality of meat is very good. We all enjoyed our food, the reason it’s not a 5 is that the chips weren’t great and the service was slow, though it was quite busy unsurprisingly due to the lush grub! Highly recommend it!

Went there after a trail walk. The service was a bit slow due to the place being super busy. The food was good and the beers were excellent.

Im not the typical burger customer . Too old and a fan of cutlery but on this day a burger was what I fancied and what I got was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Beautifully cooked and a side of chilli cheese fries made this the best meal I had in Bristol over a three night stay. Charming server and great food

We enjoyed the delicious burgers here. The chips were tasty. We also had alcoholic and non alcoholic milkshakes which offered very original flavours! Great to see somewhere offering a quirky, varied menu. We thought the service was average, would have been nice to have a friendlier, smilier interaction with the staff.
