Overall excellent food: the 8 course mid-week tasting menu (plus amuse-bouche and petits fours) was well balanced and served at the right pace. I quite liked the fact that we had different people serving (and explaining) each dish rather then the same individual. There were a few individual elements on plates I wasn’t as keen on by themselves (eg butternut squash ice cream and red cabbage consommé) but they did go well with the other elements of the courses when eaten together. Some very original and creative dishes. I particularly enjoyed the Montgomery cheddar custard, the venison dish and the plaice.
We booked our table here before Bulrush was awarded its Michelin star, but this was clearly well deserved. Will return at some point to sample a different menu.
