My wife and I popped in for breakfast and were surprised as we usually have to go in to town for a bite to eat in the morning.

Personally, its nice to have a pub like this on my door step as it means less fuss and more importantly I can get something to eat in the morning much quicker...

I ordered the squirrel grande breakfast which came with two sausages, bacon, two eggs, mushrooms, black pudding, hashbrowns, beans and toast which was perfect.

My wife ordered poached eggs and mushroom hash stack which she loved!

Andy was great and really made us feel welcome!

If you are looking for a pub with a great food and people. I would certainly advise you head over to Squirrel!

We sat outside in the sun with pre-lunch drinks while the three children in our group played in the garden and we then moved inside to eat. I chose a delicious bubble and squeak dish with black pudding, bacon and poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce accompanied by my favourite Thornton's Gold cider. Service attentive but not over intrusive, menu varied and prices reasonable. Children's requirements catered for although their preferred choice of pasta and cheese was not part of the printed menu choices.

We arranged to meet family half way here in High Wycome in this pub carpark between Brighton and the Midlands in the morning . None of us had been before . We noticed that they advertised Sunday Lunch . So my daughter booked us in for lunchtime that day they had another large party in and were concerned that they only had one highchair but they would sort it. When we arrived they had got us a portable highchair which was good of them it was really dirty as it was fabric it needed a good wash but we managed with it . PThe pub is dated not modern but had a nice atmosphere. The Sunday lunch was good and was good value I had the roast lamb shank in a jus it came with two Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes . The vegetables came out seperate they looked fresh and were nicely cooked . We had extra gravy in a serving jug. They catered for children with the usual kids menu chips and nuggets etc... We asked if we could have a small child's portion of Sunday roast and they done us one . Again it was good value . We had a desert which was a good size portion . The staff were friendly.
