I am so glad we discovered Zugers for breakfast, it is a really nice setting with lovely staff and good food. The full English and the Oreo milkshake are recommended, although they have an excellent selection of milkshake options so be warned it might take time to decide!

There were seven of us for breakfast and all with our individual tastes and requests, which were met perfectly, lovely food, friendly staff.

Came here for afternoon tea for 4. Sandwiches and scones were okay but not "good", cakes, coffee and tea were completely disappointing, coffee tasted like hot water, tea was in a tea bag, cakes were unanimously (despite trying 3 different ones) tasteless, sponge and cream were almost one identical texture, chocolate mousse was thick and waxy, presentation of the afternoon teas was lack-lustre.

Staff were fairly friendly, but disorganised and unattentive. Very disappointed, genuinely no idea how this has 4 and 1/2 stars.

Lunch with 3 girlfriends. Great menu choice and excellent service. The cake selection is superb
Minor niggle not being able to book a table but saying that we only waited 10 mins before we had a great window seat

Four seniors visited for afternoon tea, and after reading several 'reviews' I looked forward to something special. It did not quite make the grade for me. The entrance 'walkway' was bare, and I am sure the alarm system that you pass could be disguised. Everything was a bit cold and clinical. Our welcome was very courteous, but not warm, and the menus presented on 'clipboards' were really rather tatty, with even a note on top to say that some kitchen equipment had failed.
We choose the scones with butter, cream and jam; plus pots of tea. Well, it was all OK, but the cream came in re-used jam pots, and the small jar of jam given was not really of any high quality, although from a known manufacturer. The scones were fine inside, once you got there from the rather crisp outer, but the tea in the pots was quite acceptable ! Cost for this offering was a few pence below £20.00.
There were a few hearts and draperies about, no doubt for the forthcoming Valentine celebrations, but all was very bland and uninspiring. Would we return ?, I think not.
