A most enjoyable overnight stay with dinner on good value winter deal. Nice recently refurbished room with great views. Could a small shelf be added on the right side of the bed?
Excellent dinner with very tasty well-presented plates. Pity that there was no pheasant on the menu given the name of the pub!
Super breakfast with Manx kippers.
All in all a good stay in a place that merits 5 stars.

What a fantastic place. Met up with some old friends we met on holiday over 20 years ago. This was a halfway hostel for us all and we booked an overnight stay snd an evening meal. The room was brilliant, very modern ( not overly large ) but everything you would ever need. The meal was fantastic, I can definitely recommend the steak and the lemon meringue pie was the best I have ever tasted. The staff were great ( we were here Wednesday 8th November and all the staff were great) it really is a place that offers it all, fab views, great rooms and brilliant food. Thanks

We enjoyed a sandwich with chips and beautiful iced cream to follow. We enjoyed a table where we could chat it soon got busy for an early lunch time even though the fire was lit and the heating was on we found it cold in the room

We booked a winter's escape which was overnight stay, bed and breakfast and £20 each towards a meal for £119. We stopped in the converted barn which was excellent, wonderful views out of the window, big comfortable bed, very pleasant room and lovely bathroom. I was going to have the suet pie but unfortunately they were sold out, thats the bad news, but the good news is that I had a steak and ale pie instead, it was superb, very good quality steak in a wonderful puff pastry. breakfast was also excellent.Staff were very friendly and helpful and our one night stay could not have been better.I would certainly go back to this hotel

Room tip: The converted barn was very good

We stayed here foe 1 night. Olde worlde pub but very modern bedrooms. Everything was immaculately decorated, and very clean. Very friendly staff and a good range of real ales which you can try before you make your mind up.

The food was exceptional. They have a pie of the day and when we visited it was steak and ale and was delicious.

We would certainly like to return here.
