Stunning hotel, and stunning location. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We stayed after buying a voucher from living social for one night, and still the staff were attentive to any needs. Restaurant was lovely, and food tasty. It helped with the fact it was a lovely sunny day/night the Japanese gardens are nice and relaxing.
Would not have any problem staying here again even at full cost.

I stayed here last night for a work function, we like to use good venues. The whole experience was excellent. Staff are attentive, pleasant, enthusiastic. Our dining was in a private room which was overseen by Andre, nothing was too much trouble and there were no complaints from anyone about the food. I was so impressed with the gardens, which are looking fabulous and they are obviously a source of pride to the people looking after them or they wouldn't look that good. Even inside the hotel, they have a lovely courtyard area with a stunning border and outside they have a seating area close to a well stocked pond. Breakfast this morning was very good, choice wide and varied. Bedrooms are well fitted, clean and tidy with the bathroom being as good. Well worth staying and deserves the excellent rating.

Recently spent a night here for a birthday. As soon as we walked in I started to feel very relaxed. The room was nice and had an amazing view of open fields and hills in the distance. The sensory garden at the rear of the property was amazing. There was a lovely ambience, the sound of birds chirping, water running from pond to pond and coy carp jumping around. I sat there for three hours on a large super comfortable sofa bed thing, drinking some bubbly and watching the sun pass overhead and set right before us. There were other gardens to the side of the property which also looked impressive. The service was first class from start to finish. We ate in Nelsons bar in the evening which was great, we were thinking of going into Chester for the evening but after the relaxing sofa session we took the easy option and we were not dissappointed. The next day more family came over for a lunch at Ciros, the other restaurant, a bit posher than Nelsons and that again was superb and to be honest I didnt want to leave!

Recently spent a short break here for birthday. Upgraded to an executive room which was really nice. First class service from start to finish. Rooms very clean and well appointed. Spa amd surrounding grounds are impressive. Would reccomend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit Chester. We ate in Nelsons bar which was great, we had originally planned to go into Chester for the evening but though it was a bit too far for a taxi, but glad we didnt.

Room Tip: Executive room we had was worth the upgrade from standard
