We booked our stay here at the last minute, only one day before travelling. My fiance had been away with work so we thought we'd treat ourselves to a night away in Chester (which, by the way, is lovely),.

We arrived about 3pm and went to park the car, Unfortunately the car park was full, which was a bit inconvenient. Nevertheless, the car park entrance gave you instructions about where else to park and the hotel arranged it, although it was not free parking.

On check in there was a fairly big queue, and we did have to wait a while, but when a manager noticed this he radioed for additional staff and we were soon checked in.

The room was nice and clean, the bathroom clean. Everything you could need, like an iron and kettle, very happy.

The only meal we had in the hotel was breakfast on Sunday morning. It was a buffet style to which we were asked to help ourselves. I normally dislike this sort of thing, since the food is often left there a while to go dry. But here I noticed the staff refreshing the hot food two or three times in the short while I was there.

Staff were helpful and friendly, greeting you in corridors and gave us helpful directions.

Would recommend.

Best hotel we have been to, the food was excellent, and so was the room, the staff were so friendly, if you need anything they get it for you no problem.

The reception was on lower ground and we were booked in right away with no problems, the bed was so comfortable we both slept soundly. The lifts were huge too. The dinner was very good, the salmon was cooked to perfection, the breakfast buffet was fresh next morning too.

First time we had been to this hotel it was better than any other hotel we have stayed in.
Everything was clean too, no dust any where.

KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK !!!!.

Room Tip: Rooms over car park are very quiet.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza to meet a business colleague on a Friday night, and we walked into the town centre for a few beers and a meal afterwards.
Car parking is not too bad - the hotel car park was full, but there us another right next to it that is cheap enough.
Checking in, reception is stand alone, with lifts to the bar/restaraunt, and then up to the rooms. The rooms are of a nice standard, and the breaksfasts are very good. The hotel is within walking distance of a very nice town centre, and is a decent alternative to the Holiday Inn Express if you want to spend a few more pennies.

Spent a relaxing night here - a really convenient hotel for staying in Chester, literally two minutes walk from the centre of town. The hotel, as you'd expect from a chain like this one, is more about smartness, and modernity than style or individualism. When you walk into the lobby, you feel you are in a well kept, up-market place, without actually noticing your surroundings, because there really isn't a lot to notice, save a few abstract paintings of chester.

Our room pretty much ticked all the boxes: very clean, plenty of space, comfy bed, big wardrobe, tea and coffee etc. No real wow factor though - very generic, you could be anywhere feel, although as I say, I think you expect this. If I was to be really picky, the bath/shower combo felt a little dated, as did the massive black CRT telly, but that would be to be very picky. It was a really comfy room for a night's stay.

Used the compact but very decent pool - just about large enough to knock out a few quick lengths, and great to be able to grab a steam/sauna/jacuzzi as well. Very relaxing before the very brief walk out to dinner.

Breakfast was full english and continental buffet, and again, while it wasn't anything to write home about, it was good quality and even in the final hour of a saturday serving, still very fresh.

The staff were all very relaxed, friendly and helpful. It's also worth noting it was very quiet - a little traffic noise but very minimal.

Overall, it's not going to make you go wow in any way, but it's extremely convenient for Chester, and ticks all the boxes for relaxation.

I have stayed at this hotel twice and both times have been impressed by the excellent reception staff. It is worth the upgrade to the executive room and great to see the breakfast buffet regulary topped up with fresh food.

Room Tip: The higher the better works for me!
