Thank you for taking the time to post your view of The Red House. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay here with us, even the hill that we have named cardiac alley.
Have stayed at the Red House twice now and am looking forward to staying again soon. It is a great B&B, easy access to Falmouth and easy to find, comfy rooms, super friendly and informed staff, Wifi that actually works... which is essential as a business traveller. Best of all the B&B caters for vegan breakfast upon request; not only that but the breakfasts are super tasty. As a vegan traveller you also receive vegan snacks and non-dairy milk in the room. Brilliant!
Thank you Daniel for taking the time to post this review. It was so nice of you to let us and other travelers know how much you enjoyed your stay here with us. Karen is so please that you enjoyed her vegan delights, she loves creating different menu's especially vegan options (keeps her busy). We are so pleased that you liked the egan snacks also. Looking forward to welcoming you back soon. Thank you.
Stayed at the Red House close (10min walk) to Falmouth Watersports centre; easy access to the rest of town, maritime museum and Pendenis Castle.
Friendly family run guest house comfy beds great breakfast friendly accommodating owners.
A real change from the chain hotels with lots of quirky additions; from the homemade jams to the amusing pictures.
Great hosts; strongly linked to the local yacht club, so perfect for sailors!
Normal breakfast options accompanied by a daily special meant we were never stuck for a good breakfast.
Free USEABLE wifi was also a nice change from the slow connections often seen when a free option is available.
Overall, a great experience, Thank you!
We visited Falmouth in September and stayed at the Red House. The rooms are excellent, they have thought of those all important little extras that made our stay feel special. The service we received was extremely good and very welcoming. We highly recommend the Red House and will be booking there again in the future.
Thank you for the positive feed back. We are so pleased that you both enjoyed your stay here with us and that you enjoyed the little touches. We look forward to welcoming you again.
A stay for 7 nights was booked. We could not arrive between 4 and 6 pm because it was so much traffic. So I gave the hosts a call to tell them, that we will arrive at 7.30 pm. This was not possible ("definitely not") and so we had no room for our first night in Cornwall!! But at the end of our stay we had to pay for it!
As we came the next day at 4.30 we had to wait for more than 15 minutes and I rang the bell many times. No excuses for waiting and the night before, nothing. Only "jokes" about my mothers (75 years old) could climb the stairs not very fast. Very strange!
Before you give a damning review remember: When you booked you you stated that you would not get here till 19.30hours. We then emailed you twice to say that no one would here after 18.00 hours on that day. You did not reply to any contact we tried to make with you. As you were already in the UK on your day of arrival we feel that you could have got here on time, you rang from Exeter at 18.05 hours to say you would not arrive on time, if you had timed your journey to arrive at 16.00 hours you would have had time to spare even if there had been traffic, we think this is a lack of fore thought on your behalf, not because of traffic but because you wished to sight see. As for being charged for the night you did not stay please read the terms and conditions from your booking agent the contract is with them. If you had telephoned at 16.00 hours knowing that you had another two hour journey we may have been able to get another member of staff here to book you in.
You were advised that as you would not arrive within booking in time you should talk to booking agent to advise you of what to do as they were fully aware of the situation.
As you had paid for the night you could have booked in first thing in the morning at 10.00 am if you wished, but you waited until later in the day. As there is only 1 person booking people in we cannot always answer the door straight away as we could be talking to other guests either on the telephone or seeing them into their room and would have been rude to leave them to answer the door. As for comments about your mother that was never the case as my wife is disabled and I totally understand the difficulties, maybe in translation you misunderstood.
