The master bedroom in this property was absolutely beautiful with amazing views across the beach, the small bedroom that was attached was also lovely. The property was fabulously renovated and the interior design was of a high quality. However, upon arrival we were very disappointed to see how tiny the living room and kitchen were. The property sleeps 6 - we were a family of 7 (including a newborn baby whom we took a crib for) there is absolutely no way the space is big enough for a family to relax after a long day of visiting places in and around Cornwall. We had nowhere to put the baby's pram and there was nowhere downstairs for our 3 year old to play with his vast array of toys. There wasn't even a rug on the floor for him to sit and play. The bins were full to bursting point when we first arrived and were not emptied for the whole stay.
If you are travelling with anybody who may be physically impaired then I would not recommend this property. It advertises as a 6-7 minute walk to mill pool car park - only if you're Usain Bolt!! It is at least 12 minutes at a fast pace.
We love Looe and have been coming back every year since 2012 - I would highly recommend Daisy's cafe for a sandwich and we thoroughly enjoyed squid ink and the sail loft. There is not enough space to cook an evening meal and sit together as a family to eat in the property so take extra spending money!
A beautiful very high spec cottage, with tremendous views from the top floor bedroom - loved falling asleep listening to sea lapping on the shore.
Perfectly located being a stones throw from the beach and within close walking distance of all Looes lovely shops and restaurants. Looe itself is a beautiful quaint fishing village, small enough to walk around (so you don't need the car) yet has everything you need a more, we've returned here time and time again.
I would highly recommend this cottage and the owners/caretaker were more than helpful too especially when I accidentally locked all of us out!! The caretaker came within minutes :-)
We stayed in this cottage for 4 nights in February when visiting the area. Despite a confusing one-way system to a a first-time visitor in Looe, the directions provided made the cottage easy to find and we arrived to find a charming and well-appointed property.
The ground floor is dedicated to kitchen and lounge, middle floor has spacious bedroom and separate bathroom and upper floor has master and connected smaller bedroom. All rooms look newly furnished and are of high quality, we particularly liked the sea view being able to lie in bed listening to the waves!
The owners were very friendly and responded to all queries promptly, they also provided a very helpful information pack on the local area. Looe itself is a lovely town and the cottage is literally over the road from the beach, which made it really easy to take children to play...and quick and convenient to bring them home again when they are cold and wet!
The only slight downside was that the car parking space was a 10 -15 minute walk away, but this didn't bother us and considering parking in central Looe is limited anyway, it was nice to know that we didn't need to worry about topping up parking metres, or parking on the road, etc.
In all, this was a lovely stay in a charming cottage in a great little Cornish town, would definitely stay again!
