After being diverted to Porthcawl due to adverse weather we arrived at Newquay. Made most welcome and staff very helpful. My room was 217a which was small and difficult to get my mobility walker through the door without folding up. There was a few steps to encounter but was not a major problem. Food was good and plentiful, entertainment was good especially instrumentalists who played 22 pieces of music on 22 different instruments. The barman Phil from Bulgara also called out bingo numbers, if you don’t play bingo you must go and hear him call out the numbers, he is hilarious.

Room very clean and not too large but very comfortable. Food very enjoyable with an extensive menu large portions too much for my husband and myself. However the staff must be mentioned everyone was not only very helpful but very friendly and gave good service with a smile.

Room Tip: Lift small but adequate we did not wait too long for it

just arrived home from a week holiday at the Eliot in Newquay. I can only praise every aspect of the hotel , the food was excellent and the service was also very good. The hotel was clean and well maintained . The position of the hotel is quite good only a couple of minutes walk to the main path into Newquay where you will pass shops and the train station then onto the main centre of Newquay. Entertainment was very good, lots of variety which makes the evenings worth staying in for. If you want a good all round holiday experience then visit the Eliot I am sure you will not be disappointed,

Room Tip: we had room 114 it is a twin and is near to the lift on the first floor, lots of space and good size wardrobe
