The flat was lovely, spacious, had beautiful views, and sufficiently close to Newquay centre that it was a convenient base.
However, we paid a premium price for a premium location, and the number of small things that let it down was disappointing. For example: No WIFI, which is inexcusable in this day and age for such a costly apartment; uncomfortable, lumpy mattresses and sofas; cheap, ineffective towels which left fluff everywhere. However the most egregious omission was the lack of teabags - an admittedly tiny detail, unless you've just got out of the car after a long journey expecting to be able to have a cup of tea! The hosts thoughtfully left scones, clotted cream and milk, but omitted the tea. With a little investment to improve the small details, it would have been perfect.
A great apartment that had everything we needed including fantastic ocean views. It's close to the beaches and the surfing was great. There are fantastic local restaurants. A great holiday for the family and my teenage children loved the apartment and the location.
