Just returned from a 5 night break at this lovely hotel and I would certainly recommend it to any one thinking of staying in Penzance. It is listed as 5* Bed and Breakfast accommodation for the discerning traveller and it certainly lives up to that requirement.

Simon and Susan are obviously very experienced at what they do and have perfected their service over the years. The decoration of the house is lovely, very high quality with lovely furnishings and pictures. The floor coverings are of high quality and give the impression they are replaced regularly to keep the standards high. The linen and curtains in our room were co-ordinated and added to the overall impression of quality.

Simon was very hospitable on our arrival and gave us all the spiel that he has to give to all of his visitors, and which he must find mind numbing, but his professionalism doesnt allow that to show through. He gave us good recommendations for places to get food and also helped with ideas of where to visit in the area.

Breakfast was lovely, the Newlyn fish was wonderful, so much so that we almost ignored the full english.

The extras in the rooms, sweets, biscuits and bottled water as well as good quality coffee were very much appreciated.

Regents Terrace is a lovely setting and Camilla House sits well on it. Yes the parking is an issue, but not something that cannot be solved with a little car moving. Unfortunately when this house was built many years ago, they didnt have the foresight to know that everyone would have a car in the future that they would want to park there!

Simon and Susan, you have just about got it perfect (just update the info in the guest books in the rooms and perfection will be awarded), keep up the good work and thank you for giving us a lovely stay.

We stayed at Camilla House for 3 nights in late March. On arrival we were met by Simon who gave us tea and coffee which was a welcome touch after such a long train journey. Our room on the first floor was small but very clean, and once again had some nice touches ie.bottled water, tea, coffee and biscuits. The breakfast was very good which included porridge, full English,or even fish from Newlyn.
The only problem we found with the hotel was the number of parking spaces. It provided 5 but they have 8 rooms! We hired a car and were unable to park it in the car park because it was full and had to park in the road. Never the less I would recommened the hotel to anyone visting Penzance.

Lovely square setting with sea view.Reception nicely decorated like the rest of the hotel, nice welcome cuppa tea served and a lovely chat with lots of info given.lots of choice for breakfasts our room was small but was the standard room at the back looking out onto the churchyard didnt bother us.Lots of bus trips to other parts of cornwall which is handy as parking in cornwall can be dreadful lovely town(penzance) plenty of choice for shops, restaurants bars,cinema..

Room Tip: I would go for a superior room next time a bit more room..and a sea veiw.

Before we moved here we stayed at Camilla House, and most of the other guesthouses on Regent Terrace twice. It's about time I contributed a review.

The welcome is warm, the hosts very attentive, the rooms are beautiful and the facilities of a really high quality. We have never wanted for anything and on both occasions the hosts helped us out with a very early and late arrival--the second time was when we actually moved to Penzance and arrived weary in the wet with a boot full of our worldly possessions! I have never slept so well and it was a great way to start the day with a choice of their wonderful array of breakfasts before we got the keys to our house.

Thank you! I wish we could find an excuse to stay with you again!

We went here in 2010 and had a lovely stay. the owners were lovely and unobtrusively present if you needed something. Very comfortable accommodation and the food was excellent. I can recommend it. I would love to go back this year at some point!
