Room, view, dinner in the restaurant and breakfast....were all excellent. We would certainly return when back in Cornwall. It’s the best place to stay if you are Doc Martin fan. We could see Mrs Tishall’s chemist, the School and Doc Martin’s house from our room. It was amazing.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a sea view, it’s worth every penny.

We stayed at this B&B as a treat from our children. Our room had no windows just a sky light, remote no working and in the bathroom we could open the window and touch next doors wall. We had to walk outside to go for breakfast , which was horrendous as it poured down all weekend. There was no atmosphere at all. The only good thing to come out of that place was a really lovely young man at the bar who couldn't do enough for us. Im not sure that the owners were in the middle of selling the place that would explain why it was a shambles. Hopefully it has been taken over and bought back to life.

Dear CRCSaltash. We are very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. However you must have mixed up the establishments. You definitely are not talking about The Slipway in Port Isaac!

We do not have a room with a skylight, in fact all our rooms have proper, large windows with loads of light getting through.

None of our bathrooms have windows and also breakfast is always served downstairs in the cafe area, so no need to leave the building to get to it.

Perhaps you should visit us next time. Regards, Dona

The Pay and Display Car Park is FREE AFTER 6PM, and is only a 2-3 minute walk away from the Slipway Hotel and Restaurant. This place was great, our experience of Cornwall has been that everything shuts really early, BUT WE WERE SHOCKED when we turned up at this place at gone 7pm, and they were STILL SERVING their Traditional homemade Cornish Cream Tea, and they even had tables reserved for people past 8pm! We sat outside under the gazebo like most people did, and just enjoyed the shade and breeze from our little sea view.
We didn't use the B&B part of it, but it's a great central stop off is you want to have a nosy at Port Isaac, and see Doc Martin's Cottage.

I am a regular visit to Port Isaac and made several visits to the Slipway to watch the football during the World Cup this week. The food we had was great and I became addicted to the delicious Tempura seafood starter. Loved the cheesy nachos with chilli beef too. The staff are also very friendly. Sitting outside with great views of the harbour is also a must when the sun is out. Check this place out.

We stayed here for two nights while touring Devon & Cornwall. We stayed in room 1 which has a balcony and a sea view, lovely room nice size and very clean but ensuite was very very small!! The staff are great, very helpful. We ate in the restaurant one night, food was excellent would definitely recommend the sea food platter.
