Just finishing up a week at Una St Ives. The spacious, nicely decorated, extremely comfortable, clean and well-maintained home was perfect for a Cornwall launching pad. Beds like everything else are super comfortable. This place sleeps 8, which was more than our party (and 8 might be a bit cramped). Kitchen is well fitted out, everything seemed brand new (the Weber gas grill had never been used). Facilities - pool and spa area- are lovely (the gym is a bit small and sterile, but adequate if you're desperate for an indoor workout but why would anyone want to exercise indoors when Cornwall beckons?). My worry coming in was that it was a bit out of the way for St. Ives, but we had no trouble driving into St. Ives and parking in the first half of June, and the train was an easy one stop option. There's a Tesco just down the road for groceries, a super restaurant on site, and another that's meant to be good walking distance away. And the plus side is that Una's location allows you to easily leave Carbis Bay/St. Ives traffic to explore the plethora of beaches, gardens, walks, etc on offer in Cornwall. It was perfect to come back to this super-quiet, pristine mini-resort after a day's wanders. It would be ideal if the large indoor pool/spa area were open later in the evenings, and the restaurant open every night, but I understand that is planned and will happen soon. Staff on site were all super friendly and helpful. I'd be delighted to return here- the entire family (2 adults and two older teens) is really pleased with the holiday, and with Una St Ives.
