“Fabulous property”
Reviewed February 22, 2016 for a stay in February 2016
people found this review helpful

A beautiful and extremely comfortable house. wonderful view from most of the rooms and that the house is very convenient for St Ives and as a base for visiting other places in Cornwall. conveniently just a few minutes walk from the Barbara Hepworth Museum, Tate Gallery and St Ives Town Centre.

A fabulous place to have stayed and adventured from.

Tiny suggestions to make the house practically perfect

Would have been nice to have small waste bin in each room including bedrooms and sanitary bins in each toilet/bathroom. And, maybe, a window blind in top bathroom. The downstairs bedroom needs a black out blind or curtain to mask the street light.

Extra blankets for cold nights might be welcome (we did stay in February).

More info needed before arriving regarding car parking. Need to park somewhere before opening gate as there appears to be nowhere to park when arriving apart from the Council car park. If there is somewhere else guests need to be informed. Need to make guests aware that the lane at the back of the house is v narrow and steep and parking is tight. Also need to be made aware of high rise entrance for low level cars. Owner might like to suggest Council car park at £7 for 24 hours.

More info needed on how to operate heating system (again it was February).

Also make guests aware that WiFi is not guaranteed - current info insinuates that it is.

Bins worth saying that bin needs to go in front of garages opposite. List of what can be recycled would be useful and actual dates for recycling. Not much point looking out when no one else is there to put bins out.
