We had the pleasure of staying at Michael House for one night. We stayed in room one and it was perfect. The views are out of this world, not many places you can take a bath and see the cliffs and sea. The food was absolutely delicious, Vanessa is a very talented cook. We had a 3 course meal in the evening and we could barely afterwards due to the generous portion sizes! For breakfast I had "The Full Michael" and my husband had pancakes. Both were very tasty indeed.

We can't recommend this place enough, whether you're vegan or not it.

There's wonderful walks from the house and we went to the beach and took their lovely dogs Velvet and Berry.

Room Tip: Room one was the only one we saw and was beautiful.

Our adult son and we stayed here for 3 nights as a way of extending our (self-catering) week at the far end of Cornwall. We had booked for an evening meal on the first night and as we were using both of the rooms Vanessa and Simon have for guests we could choose the meal for the night in advance - though we opted for a surprise! We are foodies and were planning to eat out on the other two days but on the strength of the first night we ate here all three nights. I'm sitting here after our third evening's meal at our room window looking out at the Strand - a (fading to dark) view of the sea - it's 10 to 15 minutes away by footpath and I'd strongly recommend. Tonight was sushi then shepherd's pie then Bakewell tart - all very good especially sushi - and the desert as well really. If you're into knowing recipes then just ask - the annoted recipe books tell a story! Breakfast great too of course, and all is vegan so for us it's great that everything is OK. There are seven cats (and two dogs) and somehow they arrange it that depending upon your preferences they can be almost invisible to very present! Very good location for Tintagel, Boscastle, Padstow and this half of Cornwall in general. Vanessa and Simon strike a very well judged balance of being highly welcoming but giving you the space that you need which I'm sure will be tailored to you too. Come and stay, this place is one of the best.

Room Tip: Both rooms great...

We stayed two nights here- I am a vegan and my partner is a vegetarian. We had a large double bedroom with a huge en suite fitted with both a bath and a shower.
The room was clean and comfortable and we were made to feel welcomed at all times. Great view- peaceful surroundings.

I would recommend Michael House to anyone, vegan, veggie or otherwise.

We didnt have dinners here, however the breakfast was amazing- homemade museli, seeds, fresh fruit salads, freshly baked bread as well as a full vegan fry up. Very impressive.
The owners have quite a few animals who are all adorable, spirited creatures and also contributed to the joy of our overall stay!

This was our 7th stay at Michael House and we always enjoy the fantastic food, view and company from both Vanessa and Simon and the animals. The twin room has comfy beds and a beautiful view as well as tea and coffee making facilities and large bathroom. Vanessa's food never fails to impress and the homemade bread is a great extra touch. She is also happy to share cooking tips. We had an excellent vegan moussaka one evening and the soups are always delicious.

What a find!! This B&B is a cut above all the rest. Even if you aren't vegan or vegetarian you'll love the food here. It had everything - huge comfy bed, beautiful view towards the sea, dedicated sitting room for guests and wonderful breakfasts and evening meals if required. Vanessa was a lovely landlady. What more can you ask for?
