Wonderful afternoon with 3 boys. Youngest age 6. Enjoyed the walk, bit of exercise, not strenuous for our aged group. All loved the views. All enjoyed the intrigue of the place - even the 2 teenagers! They did cop out with a lift back to base at the end though (but encouraged by the son who LOVES Land Rover Defenders!)
Sadly gate down to beach / cave still not open though ☹️

Amazing views and history here at Tintagel Castle however tje steps are quite slippery and steep so wear good shoes. Seeing the remains of this castle was great and even though it caused a stir the sculpture is great. Merlins cave is closed due to damage to the steps at the moment.

One of the best places I've ever visited. Just breathtaking. Lots of stairs to climb but the views are well worth it! Perfect family day out!

Such a beautiful setting, well worth the trek up and down the super steep steps. Spent about 3 hours here and loved it, the plaques have plenty of information on which was great.
The views are break taking from the top.
Will definitely return

During my recent break to Cornwall i was advised to make the effort to visit Tintagel Castle which we did. Just imagine my disappointment to find it closed. We could not get near it and apparently the steps leading down to the beach area were also closed. I doubt i will make the effort again in the future.
