“Beautiful Cottage in great location”
Reviewed May 9, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Just come back from a lovely 3 days staying at Veronica Cottage. It is a beautiful cottage full of character within very short walking distance to Tintagel main village. The cottage is very well equipped particularly in the kitchen and has a lovely homely feel as soon as you walk in through the door. There was even a selection of garden toys (bats and balls etc) that the children enjoyed playing with in the beautiful garden!

“Quaint cottage in beautiful Tintagel, ticks the boxes for a relaxing break”
Reviewed March 15, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Being blessed with bright sunny days in North Cornwall is always a bonus, but our stay at Veronica Cottage would have been entirely cosy and pleasurable regardless. Pamela and her unofficial greeter, Mr. G, were on hand if anything were needed - which wasn't the case, as the cottage is well maintained, warm and well-stocked. It has a lovely timeless charm to it all.

The main drag of Tintagel is 10 minutes walk up the road, where you'll find a myriad of pubs, coffee shops and bespoke retail outlets. A Spar and Londis cater for any foods and drinks you may need to buy in.

Boscastle is just 4 miles away - worth a trip - as are Padstow and Port Isaac to the south (though the latter is a steep walk for those who might struggle).

Overall, I would heartily recommend this little cottage tucked away in Tintagel as an excellent place to retreat from the dramas of life and take time out. For the animal lovers out there, Mr. G really is a beautiful animal.

Thank you for this review Ian. It was lovely to meet you all and I hope you had a safe journey home. I don't know where you found that card but it is certainly the image of Mr. G. Pleased to say the sun is still shining.

“A delightful cottage in an ideal position.”
Reviewed November 25, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We had Veronica Cottage for a week of the most appalling weather and didn't go out as much as we would have liked, so we were all the more appreciative of this warm, cosy and well appointed cottage. It is a very short walk to the main street, with plenty of shops and places to eat, even in the winter. The owner, Pamela, lives next door, and is most helpful and hospitable. She does enjoy a chat over a glass of wine, which suited us fine. We would certainly go again - as do several families who are there year after year.

It was lovely to meet you both and glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope you had a good journey home and guess what the weather improved as soon as you left. Hope it didn't dampen your stay too much and look forward to meeting you again. Best wishes. Pam

“Highly recommended”
Reviewed August 9, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Veronica Cottage is perfectly positioned close to the town centre (Tintagel) but far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. There is a short cut into town by turning immediately left out of the drive, then follow the road round to the right and you will find a path cutting through behind the shops onto the high street. There are two competing convenience stores that open early and close late, together with a butcher/green grocer, good selection of restaurants and pubs. Tintagel Castle is well worth the visit and I was happy to pay the £8 charge (including Gift Aid) to the National Trust. All this is available within easy walking distance of Veronica Cottage.

The cottage itself is well equipped and chefs take note - good quality, sharp knives in the kitchen, not the norm in self catering accommodation!

Mr G (owners cat) was both charming and welcoming. He didn't seem to mind that he was not invited into the house with us.

Beds are comfortable and rooms are roomy and light. Showers (x2) work well.

I highly recommend this cottage.

“The best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in”

Not sure where to start apart from to say we had an absolutely lovely stay at this wonderful house. From the minute we arrived and being met by Mr. Ginger (a very friendly cat who seems to have taken on the role of unofficial greeter) until the sad day we had to leave. The house was furnished and equipped to a very good standard and the garden was a beautiful place to just relax. The kitchen had everything you could need and was very clean. Although the owner was not far away should you have any problems, you were left to enjoy your holiday in peace. The location of the house is perfect. Close enough to walk in to Tintagel and leave your car at home, or you could take a stroll along the coastal path. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to the beaches. North Cornwall in my opinion has some of the best beaches in the country with our favourite one Trebarwith Strand being a short drive from the house.

Will definitely stay again.

Liked best: Our bedroom. Do not normally sleep well when away, but actually slept better there.
Liked least: The wifi was only really available on the landing. Although there are two comfy armchairs on there for this purpose

“Perfect holiday cottage”

For us, Veronica cottage is a perfect holiday destination, a warm welcome and Cornish fairings from Pam the owner who respects your holiday privacy but is only a phone call away for queries, spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout, a beautiful 16th C character cottage you can easily imagine yourself living in. The Spec is high enough to give you everything you need on holiday, kitchen equipment, digital TV, WIFI and 2 shower rooms but not so precious that you can't relax taking children or a dog on holiday with you. We've stayed in Tintagel a dozen times over the last 25 years and Veronica cottage was by far the best experience for location, relaxed vibe, parking, sleeping, you name it, perfect.

First of all this cottage is in Tintagel. It is the most unbelievable place - prefect for everyone - Pam (the owner) makes sure of that!!
The cottage has all you need its home from home. The location is perfect. We adore this cottage and Pam, we have been 3 times and will continue to revisit for as long as Pam will have us!
There are shops and restaurants, tea rooms and pubs all within walking distance. The costal walks are breath taking. You are surrounded by beautiful beaches. If you just want to stay home in for the day you have a wonderful garden to just watch the world go by - perfect holiday for all the family no matter how big or small. Book now to avoid disappointment !! :)
