We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Camelot Castle and have really enjoyed it.

Positives
* Our seaview room had a breathtaking view over the ruins of Tintagel Castle and the coastline.
* Fabulous location adjacent to coastal walks or only a short walk into Tintagel.
* Friendly staff who could not do enough for you.
* Delicious food.
* Public ares have the 'wow' factor - it is like going back in time but also being comfortable.
* Artwork everywhere - 'interesting' even if not to your taste.

Negative
* As everyone else has said - the bathroom.

We would most definitely return to this unusual hotel.

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time at Camelot Castle Hotel. We were upgraded to the best room with a fantastic view of the ruins of Tintagel Castle! The hotel is nicelly decorated and the Round Table gives a magical atmosphere to the place. Dinner was superb and the whole setting made that evening very romantic. The staff were very friendly, especially Agata. Everything was perfect during our stay. On our next stay, we will arrange with Agata to walk those lovely dogs who live there! We highly recommend this hotel to couples.

Stayed here on probably the wettest, windiest weekend of the year! So really enjoyed the cosy , secure feeling of staying in a huge property, with wood burning fires, and great staff. Front of house are very friendly and informative. First impressions- WOW, and then reading all the material on the walls in reception, made me think, mmm the owners really love themselves. There is lots of advertising/publicity re: the owners of this private hotel, and their connections with celebrities. It would have been far more interesting to have some history and information about the area within the hotel. ie. There is nothing of the sort in the rooms, only paintings by the artist owner, which personally I did not like. The bar area, and restaurant have great views, to watch the sea, and ponder life in general. The coffees etc are over priced. The dinner is reasonable, but not the best I had eaten in the area that weekend. There is no room service. The breakfast was ok. It was an interesting stay but I left with the impression that it was not presented to its maximum potential. But perhaps that is how the owners prefer it?

When we first arrived my husband had booked by telephone and was assured we had a sea view. We were dissapointed completely with both the room which was dark and the view but the receptionist kindly moved us to another room with a big bay window. This was superb, we did pay a bit extra but it was well worth it. We ate in the restaurant one night and the dinner was very good and also reasonably priced at £22.95 for a 2 course meal. The atmosphere in the dining room at night with the lights dimmed and the sun setting outside was really romantic! Breakfast was excellent too. The staff were all fantastic, very helpful and friendly.

I got married at Camelot on the 21st April 2012 and it was the most magical day of my life and i couldnt have chosen a better place to get married
it has an enormous amount of character, extremely accommodating staff and the hotel manager is the best you could ask for
i would tell all brides who want a unique and extremely atmospheric wedding ceremony here is definetly the place
the east tower suite was fabulous with amazing views in fact all of my guest had amazing views some bathrooms are more basic than others but it really doesnt deflect from the enjoyment of your stay
the coffee is excellent and the meals were satisfactory again this did not mar any of it i loved all of it
a very warm and most welcoming hotel and will be going back on our anniversaries most definetly.
a truly heartfelt thanks to all the staff of Camelot Hotel for making our day so special
