We visited here on Easter Saturday, three adults and one child. We felt that maybe it hadn’t been open long as service was rather bitty and the two front of house staff seemed to be muddled with which table was having what!
We ordered coffee/tea but were told they only had full fat milk which my daughter can’t drink so she ended up going to find a takeaway coffee elsewhere and bringing it back to the restaurant.
We ordered three soups at £5.95 (our daughter/granddaughter decided not to eat) which were described as ‘piping hot’ but they were served in such huge flat bowls and there was less than half an inch of soup in each dish so it was just lukewarm. It was served with the thinnest slice of bread from an uncut loaf cut in two. When my sister in law mentioned the small portion size we were told it was in a big bowl which was why it didn’t look much but the amount in there would not even have half filled an average bowl.
I don’t know what their other meals were like but from our point of view this was a very disappointing lunch and we certainly won’t be returning.
