I reviewed this lovely little tea shop three years ago. It appears to have had another change of ownership but it has maintained a really nice atmosphere . The music was definitely only background this time. The staff were so friendly and welcoming . We stopped by for lunch on one occasion and coffee on another. Lunch was a Hawaiian toastie: ham, pineapple and cheese on fresh, thick white bread toast ( none of your sourdough or artisan here so no fear of breaking teeth!). It was superb and more than satisfying: we were so full we couldn’t walk up the hill to our accommodation afterwards and had to take the bus! A toastie is not normally a meal you would remember but this one definitely was, for all the right reasons.

This place is just slightly off the main drag, but well worth a visit. The food is lovely and fresh, the portions are very generous, the staff are lovely and the prices are very fair. Strongly recommended

My husband and I had lunch here today with the in laws. We found it on the Internet before visiting Dartmouth and knew we'd have lunch here.
The food was lovely. Two.of us shared the high tea and the other two had a savoury tea each.
The staff are friendly and efficient.
We definitely recommend a visit.
