Description: Set alongside the beautiful river dart in the estuary at Dartmouth, The Floating Bridge is the latest addition to the Quality Inns portfolio. When on your Devon holiday, be sure to visit this quaint old fashioned pub. Enjoy the warm atmosphere in the bar or restaurant, or why not sit by the river and watch the boats in the Marina or the Higher Ferry transporting the cars to Kingswear. Relax with a glass of wine or Pimm's, why not try the fresh crab salad!

Chanced upon this pub as we strolled along the quayside, seating right by the river overlooking the Higher Ferry so a constantly changing scene. We had the ubiquitous fish and chips which were very good (would have rated excellent but for the slightly overcooked chips) and two Peroni's for £19. Would highly recommend.

Good value [average £11/12 for main]. Good size portions.

Steak was ok but not great but all other "pub" meals were good. Seating outside was nice as you can watch the coming and going of the ferry. It gets very busy so you may have to wait for a table but don't let that put you off. Tapas/Meze sharing starter was particularly nice and good option for a starter.

Drink selection from the bar was good as was the service generally

Dined here twice during our weeks stay and had really nice food. Steak done perfectly as ordered, a beautiful fish duo, delicious ham and eggs and the trio of puds were divine. Lovely pub, great food, great service would recommend to anyone.
