Absolutely fantastic experience. The setting for this gorgeous country pub is rather idyllic. Went for a late sunday lunch. Our party of 6 (including 2 kids) chose varied dishes. My roast beef was one of the best pub roasts I have had. My partner’s sole was cooked to perfection. Even the kids were offered home made ice cream as part of their kids menu. All agreed the food was absolutely outstanding. The service was also excellent. We didn’t realise that on a Sunday the pub shut at 4pm. At 5.45 we were still sat in the garden enjoying more drinks. At no point did anyone come and try and hassle us to leave. In fact they carried on serving us. This was service at its very finest. Can’t recommend The Five Bells highly enough.

Well worth venturing slightly off the beaten track. Set is beautiful gardens and surrounding country views, perfect for summer drinks, we sat inside this well laid out and very welcoming inn.

The standard menu is accompanied by a ‘specials’ menu and all very tempting. The Scotch duck egg starter was delicious and both the steak and burger were cooked to perfection- the chips are delicious!

Very friendly staff made for a great evening and one to return to.
