Well done Richard & Jane on your award. We stayed at Shelley's last Autumn for the third time in 4 or 5 years and as usual thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As ever a friendly welcome awaits, they are always have time for their guests, just that little extra that you never get in managed and corporate hotels. Shelley's has a warm and friendly ambience with an informal atmosphere which makes it just ideal with its glorious sea views out over Lynmouth Bay for a short relaxing break, well done again...

Congratulations to Jane & Richard on winning a TripAdvisor award for another year. We stayed at Shelley's last summer and have off and on over the past 10 years. We've always thoroughly enjoyed the way Jane & Richard run Shelley's in a light, informal style and their generous hospitality. They're always round and about, always on hand to chat, to give advice, make suggestions and help in any which way they can.
For us Lynmouth is the perfect location for a relaxing, get away from it all short break and makes an ideal base from which to explore Exmoor National Park. Jane & Richard richly deserve this TripAdvisor award, very well done again.

Room Tip: The Bay Room is our favourite room

'Shelleys ' - A timeless location and a very warm and friendly greeting. Rooms fantastic and very comfortable (home from home).
A fantastic breakfast every day which really sets you up to walk the coast paths. Five star the best break you will have had in years.

Room Tip: Rooms facing right give stunning views over the Bristol Channel. Probaly one of the best breakfast you will ever have.

We loved the traditional yet light, bright dining and guest lounge rooms.
Delicious, freshly cooked and generous breakfasts.
Friendly, helpful hosts.
The balcony & conservatory to our room overlooking the sea.
The relaxed and 'at home' ambience yet a professional and quick service when waiting on the tables, the printouts of maps and info for places to go, tailored to how you want to spend your day
Leaving, we wished we'd booked longer there.

We were in need a few days away from it all. We stayed at Shelley's last year and had such a relaxing stay we thought we'd return. Jane & Richard welcomed us taking our cases up to our room. The room was as before spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable, and had lovely sea views looking out over Lynmouth Bay towards south Wales. It was good just to get away and relax, do some walks and have some nice meals. We did some lovely walks, nothing too strenuous though, to Watersmeet, the Valley of Rocks, and took the very enjoyable 21 Mile Drive around the area. We enjoy some nice meals and dined out at Le Bistro and at the Rising Sun restaurant by the harbour and the Oak Room in Lynton. As I said it was good just to get away and just really relax, bliss. Lynmouth is a great place to just get away from it all especially out of the high season.

Room Tip: most rooms have sea views try to get one if you can
