Made the long down hill walk for an afternoon lunch. Great food and fantastic views. If you visit this area, you really must try to get to the team rooms. Well worth the walk.

A great stopping place for hikers. Long queues, but cheerful, helpful staff doing the work of twice their number!

I'm surprised by some of the recent negative comments. When I visited the staff were pleasant and the food and drinks were good. If you think £5.10 is a bit steep for a pasty choose something else. It's a delightful spot.

Today I visited watersmeet tea room I parked at the top of a path which is about 5 minute walk. Come down the path and cross a bridge to see a waterfall and stream to get to the team room which opens at 10.30am and there are toilets around the back of he shop.
The cream tea was lovely as I sat out in the garden area and watch little birds land on my table looking for food so I would break off some crumbs and place it on the tables and watch the birds come within 2 feet of me to get the crumbs and with he sound of the stream flowing by it's a lovely place to visit, afterwards you can take the path to lynmouth if you want or just enjoy the area.
