This was a 2 night break to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a lovely time, Alison and Victor are great hosts, very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed for two nights in room 2, which was a lovely large room with a king bed and marvellous views.(The photos on the website don't do it justice). Nice touches like a selection of teas and coffee in the room with biscuits and bottles of water replaced daily. Large bath sheets and good quality bed linen, very comfortable mattress. Excellent choice for breakfast, full breakfast or vegetarian option, smoked salmon and scrambled egg, poached eggs, all cooked to perfection, home made granola, yogurts, croissants and home baked breakfast fruit loaf, cookies and more. The house is tastefully decorated and very clean with individually controlled electric heaters in the bedrooms. It is a quiet location, no traffic noise or any other noise. Several good restaurants within a 5 - 10 minute walk (albeit down a steep hill, but you could drive down and park in the town car park).
Lynton and Lymouth is a beautiful holiday destination and the views are marvellous, however it is very hilly. There is a funicular railway that takes you from Lynton to Lynmouth and return to save walking up the large hill (cost £3.90 return or weekly unlimited pass £20).More
