The room we had was in a desperate need of a makeover and this was the worse one we have stayed in. We had a front bedroom with excellent views but there was some traffic noise. Other than the overall appearance, the service, meals etc. was very good.

Thank you for your review. Yes, I agree that there are some rooms and areas that are in need of some refurbishment but as I have stated on several previous responses we are gradually working our way around these parts but as with all matters of cost and time, being so busy with advanced bookings finding an appropriate window is not always that easy. We are constantly repairing and renewing as is every hotel in the land. I do hope that we will be better by your next visit.
Your ratings unfortunately were not truly reflected on the overall star rating at the top of the page, but none the less I'm sure readers wii see the individual scores at the bottom.
Thanks again. I look forwrd to welcoming you back next time.

This hotel is a must. The food is good and the staff can not do enough for everyone.Such a friendly warm hotel. Some room's could do with a spruce up but they seem to be slowly doing all the room's.Peter is amazing never laughed so much as we did last week.Well worth visiting.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

Yes, you are quite right. We are trying to brimg our rooms and public areas up to standard albeit slowly. It is very difficult when we are as busy as we tend to be. We rarely have spare empty rooms which means redecorating has to be carried out when ever there is a spare hour or so when guests are out or on change over days.
i am pleased the staff provided you with every thing you wanted and am particularly happy that you enjoyed my humour. Keep smiling...... see you soon.

After reading some of the reviews that people had written,i was dreading going to the Kistor after our holiday company changed hotels at the last minute. What a lovely surprise we had on getting there. The hotel was bigger than i,d imagined and really nice and the staff were all very helpfull and couldnt do enough for us, our rooms were clean and comfortable and the food excellent. They also had entertainment every night and a £1 bar on the last night we were there. We will definately go there again and for the rates we paid we had excellent value for money.J Carr.Cardiff.

Room Tip: My friend and myself had rooms 1 and 2 on the ground floor,my room, no 1 is a single room and 2 a double..Rooms were clean and comfortable and again excellent value for the money.

Kistor hotel is a sister too the Grosvenor and the Inglewood all in the same area the kistor food is good the sheets and towels are clean but the hotel is Tatty it needs a new carpet and painting and decorating badly entertainment is the same one as in the other two hotels they are O.K. The sat. dance has a few locals there, they make up for the people that have gone to bed and are nice people,, they help fill the place beer £3:20 pint wine £8/12 bottle
I would go back to the Grosvenor but not the Kistor

Room Tip: Ask for sea view or front off hotel (not noisey)

Oh well,we can't win them all! But I am pleased that you like the grosvenor hotel. Of course you are welcome any time if you are staying there or any where else come to that. Happy holidays.
