Stayed at this hotel for a week end October and on arrival we witnessed the best welcome we had ever received at any hotel in the UK or abroad. Gary made us tea, coffee and biscuits and took our luggage to our room without hesitation. The hotel is family run and we were made to feel so welcome every minute of our stay.
We did not upgrade and had a normal premier room. This room was very cosy and was always lovely and warm. Cleanliness of the room and the whole of the hotel is exemplary. We had a fridge in the room which was very handy, safe, television, table and chairs in the bay window, good wifi, double bed with lovely white clean sheets and nice soft willows. The bathroom was quite small but was modern with a wonderful shower unit and was nicely tiled.
Breakfast was amazing with such a big range of choice. It was very organised and cooked to order which meant you received a breakfast that was actually hot and not stood to let go cold, also the Meadfoot made the best hot cup of tea ever!
There is parking at the hotel and also lots of space on the road by the hotel. It takes about 10 minutes to walk into Torquay harbour but may take 15 minutes back due to the hill.
We will certainly go back to this well run and friendly...Stayed at this hotel for a week end October and on arrival we witnessed the best welcome we had ever received at any hotel in the UK or abroad.
