This is a beautiful hotel located a short walk from Torquay and a shorter walk from Meadfoot beach. We did see from the information before booking there was a hill but there is a bus stop nearby or taxi if we needed it (we didn't). Well worth the pay off though for such a quiet and lovely location.
Greeted by the new owner who had only taken over in the last few weeks. Very pleasant and helpful gave us all the information we needed and showed us to our room.
The whole hotel is wonderfully appointed with period decor and antiques and the room was the same but with modern facilities such as flat screen TV and ensuite.
Breakfast was amazing! A good choice of hot food and possibly the best buffet I have ever encountered in a bed and breakfast. I still recall the sausages even now!
There is also a wonderful small bar for guest use only. Just a perfect size for the hotel it is a relaxing environment for a quick drink before going out or stopping in and chatting with the friendly owners.
Outside is a pool and hot tub which we didn't use but will next time.
An overall delightful experience that we will not only be repeating but would wholeheartedly recommend.More
