Owner description: Small stretch of shingle beach overlooking Torbay. Great for rock pooling. Good public toilets (open in Summer). Great friendly cafe. Access to cliff top walks. Back drop of the Osborne , a crescent georgian hotel. Parking available for beach on road and in small carpark.

Enjoyed a very sunny morning on the beach with our grandchildren daughter and son in law. Lots of rock pools to investigate, rocks to be carefully climbed, water was chilly but paddling was ok, bit of a slope on beach which falls away if taking youngsters in the water. Other people were kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming. Nice small cafe next to beach, some sand lot of shingle but popular with parking on the road or nearby car park. Tide came in fairly quickly, but suited us as weather was turning wet so we left.

Beautiful beach with a stunning view out to sea.
Beach is more shingles than sand.

There is a small cafe, watersports hire and toilet block.

As well as a small souvenir shop hidden in the beachfront hut, with a very helpful and friendly lady.

We would have stayed longer, but unfortunately the facilities didn't extend to deckchair hire, unlike previous years.

The walk down was very pleasent

We tooka look, nothing there except shingle and sea. Not for us.At the bottom of a hill too so if you go down, youve got to go up.

This rock filled beach complete with old style terracing above, is a joy to behold- a beautiful wonder. If you look hard enough you may find an ancient drain located in the beach wall...
