Warm greetings (they remember your name) and simple but well-cooked food, whether breakfast, brunch, lunch or other

Perfectly situated and a welcome snack & drink awaits. The setting is lovely, its gets really busy though but plenty of seats. Noted its change hands, but not a problem, still a good selection of foods available.

We were staying at the Osbourne Hotel which as just a short uphill walk from this beach. We hired a beach chalet through Torquay Council for a week. We were so glad we did. It was lovely to sit, having a drink looking out to sea. The view was stunning and as it was such a small beach, quiet and tranquil. Shingle is not for everyone, but we love it as much as a sandy beach.
We would certainly stay at this end of Torquay again in the future. The beach chalet was also a real bonus and made our stay extra relaxing.

Ideal if you after a beach quieter than the main beaches in Torquay. Whilst it's more stone laden I found it better and more relaxing.

Enjoyed a very sunny morning on the beach with our grandchildren daughter and son in law. Lots of rock pools to investigate, rocks to be carefully climbed, water was chilly but paddling was ok, bit of a slope on beach which falls away if taking youngsters in the water. Other people were kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming. Nice small cafe next to beach, some sand lot of shingle but popular with parking on the road or nearby car park. Tide came in fairly quickly, but suited us as weather was turning wet so we left.
