Booked the 'Romantic break for two' as an anniversary weekend. The whole package was extremely good value for money. Really nice food in the restaurant both nights and the wine in the room on arrival was a nice touch. The room was a little dated, but the view over the bay more than made up for it. The staff were all really helpful and friendly, even if they seemed to be rushed off their feet. Recharged the batteries nicely

Room Tip: Request a sea view

This hotel remains as good as ever. The club double and two singles (one upgraded - thank you) were lovely and we felt the food and entertainment were even better than last year. Special thanks must go to our lovely Russian waitress (Eleena?) who looked after us so well. We celebrated my husband's 60th here last year and hope to return for mine next.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a sea view and refurbished bathroom

This hotel was a delight to visit on our latest coach holiday. All the staff were courteous, nothing was too much trouble and how pleasant to be asked if we would like a choice of table instead of the usual only tables of eight and a different menu to the rest of the guests. This hotel could teach a lot of other hotels how to treat group travellers who, unfortunately are no longer able to drive themselves

The rooms were scrumptiously clean, food delicious and excellent spa amenities. The dining and lounge areas had spectacular views over Torbay and a very attractive outside seating area.

We will be using this hotel again.

Mrs Thomas

Dear demma09,

Thank you for your great comments. I am delighted to see that you have visited us 7 times already!

We are looking into improving our signal strength, but as you can appreciate, this can sometimes be challenging in such an old building with thick walls.

We all look forward to welcoming you back for your 8th stay very soon.

Kind regards,
The Headland Hotel & Spa Team.

I cannot believe this is only rated as three star! Definitely needs revisiting in my opinion.

A beautiful hotel, spotless and gorgeous facilities and views.

Came for a spa day and could not fault it. The therapist was fantastic, i was so relaxed and she was knowledgable and incredibly professional - made some great recommendations for my skin. I will be returning next month for another treatment.

The hotel itself is beautifully presented and the terrace restaurant has incredible sea views. The lunch was phenomenal and the tea and cake superb.

The staff were all very friendly and approachable.

We were invited to a six course evening meal at the Hotel and was very impressed by the quality of food and service. I require the food to be gluten free and not only was thus supplied without fuss if included GF bread and biscuits.

Stayed September 23rd until Monday 26th on a coach company organised break.
The weather was excellent for the stay, the hotel was very nice indeed and the staff very attentive and polite. The hotel manager greeted our coach party and provided coffee/tea etc whilst our luggage was taken to our rooms.

Our room had a sea view on the 2nd floor which we recommend. It was spacious and comfortable. A note about a blown light bulb was attended to quickly and the hotel provided a stool for use in the bathroom as the shower was over the bath and difficult to access for my wife.

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms facing the sea are best
