Price range: US$4 - US$13
Description: Family run business involving three generations . Me and Mrs jones is a continental style deli with an informal vibe. Formally a Victorian butchers shop it retains many of the original features with beautiful glass wall tiles that make me smile every day !!Serving breakfasts through to afternoon tea. Eat in or take home from 8am until 5pm Monday through to Friday and 9am until 4pm Saturday's . Specialising in local Devon produce cooked on the premises. Lots of freshly prepared salads and tarts . Gluten free vegetarian and vegan diets catered for along with full deli counters of continental and British cheeses and charcuterie. Artisan breads and pastries and mountains of homemaked cakes . A delightful wine shop to the rear of the deli with a fine selection of competively priced vino not found in the big boy shops ! Specialised theme evenings on a first come first served basis . Dates on blackboards in deli ! Our coffee is amazingly good and our famous golden teapots take centre stage . We love food and people ! Light, bright decor with plenty to look at, eat and take home

Bit surprised by some of the reviews on here but here goes.. Popped in with friend who spoke well of the place. It was lovely. Had a great feel to it.. We were s bit late in the day but had ourselves a nice cuppa ( plenty of tea choice) and some nice cake. Wife says it was the best carrot cake she had ever eaten. Service was fine although it was quiet.. It's not a cheap place but you get a feeling of that before you go through the door and we expected it. It's in a lovely little neighbourhood. Reminds me a bit of a small Clifton in Bristol. I'd pop in again if in the area

This is now our go too place since moving permanently to Torquay....
Breakfast brilliant. Lunch excellent. Afternoon tea fabulous.
Took son today who scoffed the lot.
Better hold off for a few weeks, or we will be broke..

We have visited this establishment a few times and never fails to disappoint.. the food is amazing along with the atmosphere, so much choice it’s hard to choose but everything in this this little gem looks fantastic.. the Bengal tart with the salad of brown rice, bean sprouts, pomegranate seeds and soya sauce was delicious.. can’t wait to return

We were celebrating a special birthday. There were ten of us- we had only booked for nine but nothing was too much trouble. I'm dairy free so never easy but they took it in their stride offering far more choice than I normally get. The flans were amazing accordingly to my friends and many bought some to take home. We took our own birthday cake and they organised the lighting of candles etc at the appropriate time.
A fantastic lunch and definitely will be visiting again.
