Booked a table here at the last minute for last night on Table Pouncer. It was for 5.30 so unsurprisingly we were the first customers. Warmly greeted and seated in the pleasant surroundings we had the menu explained, two choices, and we chose the 3 course for £32 one, which would be £16 with the 50% discount. The food was excellent and we were quite full afterwards! We left at 7.20 well satisfied. See the photos for the food.

This is my second visit to Plates & Co and I still love the setting. High ceilings and pulpits give real character. The food is generally good if pretty pricey, and service was a little patchy (a couple of requests were misinterpreted). A final problem with puddings was resolved with a discount which was appreciated. I would go back as the food is nice but would have to save up for a while first.

Beautiful building with a lovely atmosphere even though we were the first guests. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Sea bream cooked to perfection with soy and ginger. Delicate yet extremely flavoursome. My friends beef cut like velvet. Interesting cheese platter which I had with a glass of port, an excellent finish to the evening. For chocolate lovers try the pudding.

Six of us, including two children, ate at Plates for the first time yesterday. Most of us had 3 courses and the food was stunning. The beef wellington was a particular favourite. It was a Tuesday night, so the place wasn't busy, but we couldn't fault the food or the service. We will definitely go again.
