Overall our experience was very good. It started excellently as in our suite for our anniversary was a bottle of sparkling wine, some chocs, crisps and a bowl of fruit.
Unfortunately one of our air con units was not functioning correctly but it was fixed the next day. Breakfast on the first of our 3 days was disappointing. We never have cooked breakfast but enjoy cereal, toast and marmalade. However there were no cornflakes or marmalade. Frosties, coco pops, cheerios, ricicles - yes. Three choices of jam, nutella, honey galore and marmite -yes. Asking why there was no cornflakes, weetabix or marmalade we were told they never had them. However next morning cornflakes appeared but no marmalade. On the last morning hey presto marmalade was there. So perhaps our concern was acted upon.
No big deal I know but I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and never before experienced no cornflakes, weetabix or marmalade. The staff were all helpful and friendly and the hotel is ideally situated on the seafront. We had a seaview suite and the main attractions and shopping are all close by. The restaurant in the atrium is spacious with a seaview if you can get a table to take advantage. The car park beneath is expensive but there is a direct lift access to the hotel. Expensive the car park maybe but not by Brighton's standards. Worth a visit if Brighton is your cup of tea.
