My aunt and I stayed early in October 2011 and found Brighton House to be by far the best B&B in the area! Wonderful staff - welcoming and friendly (with the offer of free homemade cake on arrival might I add). Rooms were very clean with a comfortable bed and a good selection of complementary herbal teas. Breakfast was lovely with lots of local organic produce. Only bad point was the rather expensive parking in the underground car park but the wonderful staff and atmosphere at Brighton House certainly made up for it. Would stay again and would recommend to anyone.

Thank you for your review we are very happy you enjoyed your stay with us at Brighton House. Parking in Brighton can be expensive. The Council Owned public car park on Regency Square is open 24hrs and is charged at £12.50 per 24hr which is competitive for central Brighton. We do advise guests staying with us to when ever possible to use public transport links to Brighton.

Lovely welcome and immediate apology for the fact that there was some outside work going on. As I was on the top floor, my bag was brought up to the room, which was good as the stairs were quite steep. I had booked a single room, and knew beforehand that it would be on the upper floors. In fact it was on the top floor - 69 steps!, but a lovely view over the square and glimpses of the sea - good for sunsets. The room was a little compact, but for 1 person it was fine and bed very comfortable. Lovely buffet breakfast, with fresh fruit, good toast etc. And very friendly staff and hosts.

Room Tip: The stairs to the top floors are quite steep - good exercise after breakfast !

The staff were friendly and remembered my email to them before hand. They had arranged a room at the front which had a sea view (if you turned your neck) in a very nice furnished room with fresh fruit and a good selection of herbal teas.

Continental breakfast with perfect. Eggs were soft in the middle and warm - as stated by the sign next to them. The atmosphere was very relaxed.

We made friends with Mr Watts the hotel cat - and will return to see him and the staff if we come back to Brighton in the future.

I don;t normally write reviews but feel that I would because the stay was very enjoyable.

Room Tip: Email the staff after you have booked on a website (rather than direct) - if you want a room at the...

This was our second visit and once again found it to be excellent. They were happy to take our bags as we arrived during the morning and when we booked in offered as maps and to take our bags up - we were up the top. We booked the three small 1 person rooms and they were clean, well furnished and excellent value. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows just right. Although the en-suit was small it had everything and the towels were large and fresh. Breakfast was continental and could have as much as you wanted. Staff were friendly and we will be back next year - as repeat customers we got a 10% reduction!

Room Tip: I had room 45 - a 1 person room but with a good size bed overlooking the square. However it is at...

Just returned from 3 nights at Brighton House - we had a fantastic time. On arrival the staff could not have been more helpful - providing a map and directions to restaurants, shopping etc. When booking we decided to book the largest room which had a four poster bed and large bathroom (no shower but large bath had shower attachment). The room was large but cosy, well equipped with a variety of tea and coffee, flat screen TV and the bed was extremely comfortable. Another nice touch was the freshly baked organic cake available each day in the hall along with plates and napkins - perfect to take up to your room to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.

The breakfast was a cold buffet with most foods being organic. There was a large variety and again the staff were most helpful and attentive.

The hotel is on a quiet square that is central in location. The beach, pier, shops and cafe are all a short walk away. There is a public underground car park which charges around £12.50/ 24 hours.

This is a hotel we would definitely return to and would recommend to our friends.
