“As good as a town park gets.”
Review of Alexandra Park

Alexandra Park
Ranked #1 of 71 things to do in Hastings

The park has a lovely setting where two valleys in the town meet. Plenty to explore and a lot of variety from formal garden to rural wet areas and lakes. Something for the kids, including the weekend miniature railway, and an inviting cafe. The park is kept in really good order and has a large variety of trees. Well worth spending a couple of hours wandering around. Tip - check the park plan and get off the beaten track higher up the valley.

Voted as the best park and well deserved. We always walk through the park every Saturday, and sometimes during the week. Keen photographers, with plenty of wildlife about, flowers and excellent shrubery. Colin and Lynda

Alexandra Park is a lovely open space, ideal for a stroll, cycle ride or for walking the dog. There are several lawns and wooded areas, ponds and lakes, all connected by paths. There are two play areas for children and a lot of space for them to run around. There are tennis courts, a bowling green, a miniature railway and a cafe. The borders are well kept and the park well maintained. Well worth a visit if you are at a loose end!

Always a pleasure to stroll or sit in the park.... though it gets busy in the the middle of school holiday days. The park is well maintained. It has its regulars early and late strolling with or without their dogs. Toilets are central and looked after. Snack bar open in the appropriate hours. Surrounded by lots of street parking. This is a big park - Lake, bowling green, tennis courts. Paths surround for a good walk. Beautifully planted and looked after.

Hi. Im very greatful this is my local park i use it daily with my 12yr old staffy, the leaded park, where the cafe and children play. Its safe only because MOST of us respect eachother and rules. I'm affraid of lose dogs; as are many walkers i meet. SO PLEASE. everyone keep DOGS ON LEADS. There is a £1000. Fine if not using a lead. Please. Report to the warden or police. Any lose/dogs. Bexhill is also dog friendly Egerton park, LEADED.

Thank Sharon W
