Stayed at this lovely little cottage for a week with my fiance to celebrate a special birthday. It's situated a minute walk from a pretty, little village with bundles to do. We had a champagne picnic by the river, took the dog in for a paddle! Ate the loveliest fish & chips and drank in the local pubs watching the world go by! It was absolutely perfect for us. The cottage is cosy & quaint and just what we needed as a base to explore the very beautiful and picturesque Cotswolds. Would highly recommend Chipping Campden, Lower slaughter, Moreton on Marsh, Stow on the Wold and we even visited Oxford for the day. I would highly recommend Captains Cabin & would visit again.
The cottage was perfect in every way. Very cosy and clean. Couldn’t have been in a better location, as close to all amenities. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Recommend the dragonfly maze for a bit of fun. The rose tree and duke of wellington for nice food.
Bourton on the Water is beautiful and Captains Cabin is a brilliant accommodation.
Being so close to the High Street, we were pleasantly surprised with just how quiet it was.
The parking space at the front of the cottage is a real bonus and from the moment we entered, we couldn’t fail to be impressed by this charming property. It has an abundance of character in every room, a spacious main bedroom and was spotlessly clean throughout.
Despite us visiting on one of the coldest weekends of the year, it was always warm and cosy. The log burner adds to the charm.
Everything we needed was provided and being dog friendly it provided everything we had hoped for.
We have just had the most relaxing mid-week break at Captains Cabin. The cottage is very cosy and well equipped. It’s in a great location, a minutes walk to the main high street yet tucked away down a very quiet little lane. Highly recommended!
Wow! On arrival to this stunning cottage I immediately thought of the film 'The Holiday'It's charming character and perfect location makes for the most wonderful rest. Nestled amongst the beautiful village of Boughton on the Water. It is ideal for a real rest. Spoilt by the lovely boutique shops and cafes to wander around. Wonderful places to eat too. The cottage is clearly very loved and the touches that the owners have added are perfection and tasteful. Lovely additional thoughts like milk and wine on arrival make you feel very special.
My only slight disappointment was that like in the film Jude Law didn't come knocking! But I'll be going back as soon as possible! One can live in hope.
Fantastic location in centre of town. Bourton ideal situation for exploring the many pretty Cotswold villages. Also within easy reach of larger towns.
Property really clean and comfortable. Pretty end of cul-de sac, one minute walk to high street, but nice and quiet.
Ideal size with plenty of character complete with own parking space adjacent to cottage [a real bonus for Bourton]
Really enjoyed our stay, weather variable, but didn't spoil our enjoyment
Many thanks to owners for sharing their little gem with us
