Rose Tree Cottage lived up to its billing in every way possible. It was extremely comfortable and well-appointed, with beautiful gardens.
Its location in Stroud also worked well for me and my family. While Stroud is not the charming village one would typically associate with the Cotswolds, we found the additional amenities of a smaller town, including supermarkets and additional dining options, to be preferable. Stroud is conveniently located, affording easy access to Bath, the Cotswold villages, and even Oxford and Stratford upon Avon (the latter two locations are an hour drive at least). I would recommend highly.
I'm having a lovely stay at this cottage. It's beautifully maintained inside and out. The gardens are lovely. The rooms inside are well maintained and thoughtfully decorated. The bathroom has a lovely walk in shower and separate bath. The bedrooms are all comfortable. The living room is spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. This is a charming and pretty cottage and I'm really glad I'm staying here. I'd love to return. Really picturesque location too.
The cottage was Idyllic, with all the requirements you could wish for to make for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. A few minutes walk down the road took you directly to the river and canal, with miles of walking. You can even walk into Stroud town centre along the river & visit the local farmers market. Five minutes drive from local supermarket. We enjoyed scenic walks around the lakes at The Cotswold Water Park at South Cerney. Or you can visit the moors in Minchinhampton with all the wild cows and horses, followed by pub meal at The Old Lodge.
We had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back
